Blackwell says there are 10 days now to collect all the ballots from overseas, etc., and none will be counted until 11 days from now. "It could be 250,000 as the Democrats are claiming."
eta: Oh. My. God. It's not fucking over again.

Novak predicted that Bush would pull out of Iraq. Maybe to avoid massive spending, which OBL hopes could "bankrupt" the US. OBL's plan to bankrupt US

I celebrated the Yankees after 19-8.
Like the Sox bullpen, don't mind my concern for Kerry's bench.

How Kerry wins:
OH + MN + WI + MI = 268 electoral votes.
Then he needs to win HI, IA, NV or NM. He's up 55% - 44% in Hawaii.

CNN just projected that Ohio is a green state: too close to call.

Thanks. Interesting that people want to fund researchers fucking around in a lab with embryos to maybe find something out that may someday be useful but who knows but won't require Walmart to provide health benefits for its employees to get treatments that exist and work for medical conditions.

I don't think you are going to get both GOP dominance and a reformed GOP. If you want to win, you have to have the Religious Right. Minnesota isn't close to the Bible Belt, but Kerry's margin of (projected) victory here would have been much much greater but for the abortion and "protecting traditional marriage" issues. I know a lot of people who would have voted Dem if not for those.
And there are growing political movements within the evangelical Christian community that are focusing on poverty-related issues so to get that bloc in four years, the GOP might have to give a little more on social issues in addition to the usual morality-related platform.
