CNN disagrees.
eta:
According to CNN, there are as many as 600,000 outstanding votes in Ohio. CNN also suggests, as I said, that the provisional ballots are predominantly Democratic.

But according to the Kerry campaign there are only 250,000 votes to be counted.

You're not going to win HI. I'll make another bet on that one. Kerry is up 55% - 44%, and is leading on every island, according to CNN.

CNN is on an Island. You may want to change the channel.

As I said, the communist news network is reporting even more uncounted votes than their boy's own campaign.

With all those ballots yet to count, why is CNN wrong about this? And both candidates are going to need Ohio to win. It all comes down to Ohio.

They were talking about some optical scanners that broke down and they will get replacements from the mftr. later today. Regardless, things don't look good for Kerry and thus for Lester's bets.

CNN is right that the election is too close to call. They are wrong that there are 600,000 ballots uncounted.
Kerry's campaign estimated Bush had a 100,000 margin and there were 250,000 uncounted ballots.

Turn on Fox. They will explain it to you.
eta - the Dems have sent Teddy Kennedy to Kerry's residence to get him to concede.

From that bastion of liberalism, the Washington Times, earlier today:
- About 1 million new Ohio voters have been registered, most of them by so-called "527" groups that recruited in heavily Democratic precincts in the urban centers of the state. Because of clerical errors or Election Day confusion, it is expected that many of those new voters will end up casting provisional ballots.

I think they were referring to the combination of provisional ballots, absentee ballots, and the remaining precincts that have not reported tonight.
