Trying to do this other than on bike sounds relatively insane,** though skiing would be better than hiking or running.

**On second thought, even biking it is completely insane.
By coincidence, I ran into my biking friend who does this race (and is quoted a lot in this article: http://www.startribune.com/local/115386834.html) last night in . . . wait for it . . . spin class! He told us more about his year's race. I wouldn't say that it has zero appeal for me, but the number quantifying the appeal for me is quickly approaching zero. But despite getting lost and having to go for help to rescue a hypothermic racer, he finished in about 27 hours. The weird thing is, he looks like a surfer.

do they have St. Bernards carrying brandy for the lost, or perhaps they use small batch bourbons?

The genius who is our receptionist has taken to reading memoirs of porn stars at the front desk. The dustjackets (these come in hard covers?) are rather entertaining, if not overly revealing. She left one this morning on the coffee table between the FT and some firm propaganda. We are a welcoming firm.

By the way, Carmelo and Chauncey to NYC. Deron Williams to NJ (without an extension, btw) and not one word out of anyone on the board (including Hank)?*

TM

Wolves get Eddie Curry! Yay!

I've basically stopped caring about the NBA and will tune back in when the Wolves are competitive.

So, yeah, never.

I'm quiet because i wanted to see if you'd say "Carmelo to the knicks" like every press outlet. You got 1 guy with a ring, Series MVP and he can't get a mention?

It sounds promising for you guys especially since C and C already know how to play together.

Apparently.

ETA: Chauncey probably gets no respect because he's also a former Twolf.

At least not until after March Madness. Even the pros don't care half the time. Why should I?

Thurgreed's trying to figure out how NY can trade Billups for T-Mac.

The Williams trade surprised me big-time. There'd been lots of talk about Harris coming to Portland for Andre Miller and change (which I wasn't all that thrilled about).
