Perk would never do that. Sniff.

I tried that on duerod back in 79, he changed his shot into going at the basket and dunking. First the ball hit me in the head then he landed on my chest then they called a foul on me. See there are consequences to flopping in a real game.

Re: Lamest k race win ever
there was a Canadian entry in the "best foreign language" something.
I'm thinking we should force Canada to drop English. it will make it much more exotic when we cross the border.

Oscars
Is it just me or were this year's best picture nominees head an shoulders better than last year? Last year we have a sci fi fantasy with comically bad dialog and little discernible story vs. an intense war picture that sadly had nothing to say.
This year, there seemed to be ten films with legitimate emotion and insight (although I've not seen them all).

Yep. Was watching it in high-def. Caught him right on the bridge. Don't know if you've ever been hit in the nose, but if you get caught just right, there's a delayed reaction, you feel a bit of pain and then your eyes water. Nowhere near the reaction Bosh had, which seems like a clear flop after he realized he might have gotten hit. But he, Lebron and Paul Pierce are the biggest pussies in the league when it comes to any kind of discomfort, so you never know.

is it ironic that the Sunday NYT story about the New-Look Knicks did not mention Chauncey?

They're setting up the "new new look Knicks" article for next month.

Didn't read it, but, based on the definition of "ironic," I'm going to go with, "No."
After Chauncey hit that huge three from 2 feet beyond the 3 point line last night, hitting free throws the way one should and basically running the team without being a knucklehead, he's quickly becoming one of my favorite players. Are you going to constantly complain about how little credit he gets from the press? Because that will get highly annoying really quickly. If he continues to play well, trust me, the NY fans will love him and he'll be everywhere.

All he really wants to know is if you would trade him for T-Mac.

I don't care what the press says, just wanted to hear from you sugar.
And you will come to love him. Although he is old, so enjoy the next year or so.

If he's even close to as clutch as he's been during his career with Detroit and Denver, everyone in New York will love him. Hell, I love having a point guard who I'm actually happy the other team is fouling at the end of the game. That alone seals the deal for me. Once he figures out where Amar'e likes to get the ball, it's all gravy.

And don't ever call me "sugar" again.
