You're unsane. The worst female boss isn't half as bad as one of those fucking short little douchebag males who have something to prove. "Napoleons" kill all other bosses in the most annoying boss cataegory, by miles. And I've worked for women.

Of course, the fact that we were of opposite sexes might have killed a bit of the aggression that might exist between some women, as it does between men, so my experience is probably not analogous to Anne's. But I'm still willing to bet the worst chick in an office doesn't compare to the cat who's still grinding out anger at being an ugly little troll who never got any respect or attention until he got a law degree (and then only got laid because he found an unambitious or weatherbeaten goldigger).

YMMV, but I always found those assholes had to "win" every interaction. Everything was a dick size comparison, and a veiled demand for respect. Reason goes right out the window and everything becomes a zero sum game. Chicks are usually smart enough to not have the "I am alpha male" game interfere with getting the cash in the door.

Turn off the Blackberry. It's not like they're going to fire you for one day's worth of shit. You know how hard it is to get a new employee. I don't know why more employees aren't total assholes to their bosses. They have a lot more leverage than they think they do, particularly in a systeem like law, where one employee knows the case miles better than everybody else.
