Again, we're in agreement that what men and women experience here is different in many ways, but, to get a little closer, now imagine that he's your 70 year old managing partner, or that he's a significant client on whom you depend for a big chunk of your income....
Still just an "ego boost"?

Exactly. I can't even imagine hitting on one of my associates, but if I did, I doubt it would be an ego boost for him. I expect he'd be weirded out, uncomfortable and definitely not want to work with me anymore.
Whenever the shoe was on the other foot (when I was an associate and this happened), I felt humiliated. I'm not sure if a male associate would feel the same degree of self-doubt and humiliation, but I think it's definitely possible.

Re: Mother, mother, mother - there's too many of you crying.
I imagine a lot of Trump voters would fundamentally approve of how the UK is changing, even as many of us are appalled.

We’ve met. If I were the associate, I’m thinking initial response is, “So that’s how you roll...”
Then I’m thinking, “Allright, allright...”
(In my dreams, where I’m as smooth as Wooderson.)

It’s more about the cut and style.
The “khaki” isn’t really about the khaki color at all. That’s just the color these uncreative, formless pants tend to come in, as it goes with almost every other color. (Shit, people even wear them with grey shirts, which should never work, but somehow does.)
It’s a heavy fabric, boring ulitity pant. The sort favored by men who wear socks in every season. It’s the dam that holds back the male muffin top of skinny-fat to porky middle managers the world round. Karl Lagerfeld once said, “Never wear sweatpants. They are a sign you’ve given up.” The standard Dockeresque khaki is one ladder rung away — the style of a man who’s but an earner, a 401k enhancement device... a man who’s not even much interested in masturbation anymore. It is the wardrobe choice of the asexual... he who’s greatest excitement of the week is acquiring an enviable Saturday tee time.
Nobody’s in a hurry to tear off someone else’s khakis. And that’s about all you need to know about anything to avoid wearing it.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong people, but in reading this, don't you all just see Sebby as a short little dude in khakis and dockers?

Meh. Too much really slow kissing.
And no one bought me brunch.

You’re stereoptyping, badly, and incorrectly.

Re: Mother, mother, mother - there's too many of you crying.
Speaking on behalf of 70.8 year olds everywhere, I trust that age and experience have taught most of us that we are no longer the godlike creatures who once strode the earth with confidence and ease. That which we are, we are. See you at my 50th college reunion in the spring. And it is true that age and cunning can still, in our chosen profession, defeat youth and skill.
Yours in attempting to stay reasonably fit, and sockless in the warmer months,
Ferrets.

I'm not talking about dockers, but rather tailored cotton trousers. And you're saying that cotton is a heavy fabric - have you worn cotton before?

He walks to the local Margaritaville restaurant in his board shorts and flip flops.
