Where is La Paigow when you need her?

Next one?!? Good God, woman, you are a glutton for punishment.

Wow, I don't get that vibe. In fact, last year when I hurt my leg and couldn't run, I started spinning. These were the two names I choose for class.

Any future mini-me will not be named Mary, Jane or Elizabeth. (If that's what you're saying -- somehow, however, I think you're making a subtler point that I'm missing entirely.)

The italicized names are a riot, and the bold ones are unbelieveable. Who would ever name someone one of those things?
Was it always like this? Why am I continually embarrassed by Americans? These are the names that the NFHs of the world are giving their babies. I am not Old Money, but the American Nouveau Riche are the equivalent to the medicore wide receiver who talks shit after EVERY SINGLE CATCH.

I'm going to grow a beard and start to wear flannel. Maybe buy a log cabin, chop some wood and plan to overthrow the middle class.

I was thinking that just the other day. And although I hate to give Hank props, he's a great team player who can make big shots when he needs to and makes others around him better.

But I still don't think he's as good as McGrady and I don't think there is anyone in the league who would take him over McGrady.

The name choices are irrelevant, fwiw.

Has there ever been a bigger bust in the history of sports than Ryan Leaf? Hell, the Sam Bowie pick looks like pure genius in comparison.

I'm 6'11"

1) knowing what we know today, no coherent GM would have drafted Chauncey over T-Mac.

2) Today 29/30 NBA teams would probably take T-Mac over Chauncey if both were offered in a trade.

3) 1 team wouldn't trade today. (and I don't mean Dumars is smarter, it's a question of where the Pistons are at right now)

  • Ottawa program offers drinks to homeless alcoholics

    Turnbull's study found:

Participants who typically had 46 drinks a day before the program dropped to about eight drinks a day during the program.

And I bet the number of later night hillary photoshops might drop.

Maybe not, but these have got to be close.

Todd Marinovich -- he was born to be a quarterback, right?

Tony Mandarich?

ETA: Brian Bosworth.

God, there are a lot of good examples -- mostly in football, I think.

2.

Marinovich and Bosworth have what Leaf has, which is not only no NFL talent, but a complete asshole attitude. What made Leaf an even bustier bust was telling off the fans, blowing off practice, and generally pissing off everybody around him.

BTW, there are probably more busts in baseball, but there's no expectation that drafted players will make an impact right away. Shawn Abner or Brien Taylor, anyone?
