I hope so.

Right now, the Democrats dominate the news. McCain/ Huckabee has been good for nothing more than laughs.

And we're going to be featured with constant coverage of Hillary and Obama while McCain tries to manufacture events.

Did you see the Washington post poll today? http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/politics/

Obama up 52-40 over McCain and Hillary up 50-44.
the Celtics beat the Pistons tonight. i guess we'll not make the finals this year

Doesn't he have a 100% rating from National Right to Life, etc?

From a Democratic perspective the Supreme Court would be frightful by the end of a McCain Presidency -- the thing I like least about him.

Yes, but McCain is much more charismatic than Reagan -- and abortion rights are rock-solid nowadays so no one will care. I wouldn't worry about it.

When foreign governments start messing with our elections, it's time to drop a few bombs. Who's with me?

can't obama and hillary just assure canada that it's really the swarthy part of nafta that bothers them?

do either of them even realize that losing jobs to Mexico became a non-problem inabout 98?

We must seize the key areas -- Molson Arena,* the Vancouver cruise docks, that town in Northern Ontario that Neil Young sings about in "Helpless." Shock and awe, bay-bee.

Definitive. We should call the thing now.

I agree this Dem battle for the nomination is actually working against McCain.

But you're not seeing the redneck, evangelical or hardcore GOP vote yet. Those people are asleep right now because they don't like McCain. They will wake up before November.

And in a bad economy, people vote with their pocketbooks.

There are NEVER two better words in a candidacy than "Tax Cut." You can talk Iraq and health care and all the happy horsshit you think is going to bring your glorious Democrat revolution, but that old man is still going to either beat you or give your candidate a scary run for his or her money because he'll be the only one saying "Tax Cut!"

It's like "Free Beer!" It's worth 5 Universal Health plans and 7,000,000 Green Initiatives.

But you keep sucking down the Kool Aid. The revolution's coming. It's guaranteed.

So if you're just voting against the Dem, pull the Libertarian lever.

Or Ralph's. I can see you as a Ralph voter.
I actually like Ralph's campaign. The odd thing with him is, he's a better Libertarian than Paul. He wants to gut DC and chuck the innards in the Potomac.

I'll take increased regulation if it'll kill off every other department of the Govt and shut down all the lobbyists. Hell, Ralp even wants to sue the cell phone companies to lower our rates. Sign me up.

Indeed.

But it is an indication that the lengthy primaries aren't hurting the Dems.
No, but if you nominate Hillary, you're fucked. And she's going to win PA.

who pays for primaries, or a do-over? michigan is broke and we already paid for one (assuming the state pays), and I don't approve of paying for another one just to give Hil a chance.

I'm sure hil won't get into the mud to fight it out.

If people are voting their pocketbooks, it's the Yankee Republicans whose votes no longer count that want the tax cut and the evangelicals who want "free beer". While I think they're mistaken, I still think the perception is that the Dems are more willing to give out free beer to the red necks and send the bill to the sherry-drinkers.

So if its a "tax cut" versus "free beer" argument, Dems could get some support from Sunday Evangelicals (the guys who go three days a week - less likely).

At the cost of one or two presidential elections, I would happily give you all (y'all) the evangelicals.
