Re: No Faith in the Moral Standards of the Players as a Group
My husband is ranting on Facebook again, and he said "post this to your lawyer board; see what they think." I offer no comment other than he's currently supporting South Korea in the match that is on right now. Also, he hates the Brazil men's team as well.
"When a national soccer team wins a World Cup, a star is placed above their team crest on their kit (jersey). The United States Women's National Team (USWNT) has won two World Cups ('91 and '99) and therefore have two stars above their crest. The US Men's team has never won a WC, so there are no stars on their kit. The Brazilian Men's team has won 5 World Cups, and so they have 5 stars above the crest. The Brazilian Women's team has never won a WC, but they have 5 stars above their crest. In your opinion, is it right for them to do that? Would the US Men's team catch all levels of hell if they did the same thing?"
He also wonders if the Brazil men's team would put another star on their kit if the women win.

It's kind of hard to tell, but some of the Brazil women seem pretty hot. Also:
"Note: Some women teams, like France, Italy or Brazil, wear the men's stars on their jersey."

So are there any places where both the women's team and men's team have won and the women's team still uses the women's stars?
Look, those stars just represent victories other people had, not the team on the field. Why worry about someone who brags about some other people's achievements?

Only Germany has won both men's (4) and women's (2) world cups.

I guess that makes up for their 0-2 record in world wars, right?

So you're saying we should add a couple stars to the US jerseys when they play Germany?

In my view, the stars are for the team, not the nation. US women should have two, men none, Brazil men should have 5, women none.

Let’s get this to REALLY convey information — you get a star for each Cup won by a team YOU WERE ON. Anything else is credential fraud.

Well, sure, but that's before anyone starts making payments to the FIFA brass, right?

Re: Not Bob's Continuing Adventures on LinkedIn.
Apropos of Rolling Stones songs with horn sections, here's a quiz on the lyrics to "Brown Sugar." I got 7/10, which is disappointing for a song I have heard hundreds of times, many of them while sober.
