But what the hell did a liberal like Tricky Dick know, right?
This is laughable. Howard Dean Ted Kennedy, Michael Moore, Al Gore, etc., but we are the angry ones?

Good shot, sporto. You've already learned to shoot the messenger rather than address the point.

You'll be a Jedi soon.

You aren't the only one it doesn't work with.

Didn't you learn in law school that sometimes that's the best approach?

Bingo!

Mr. Gorbachev . . . Tear Down This Wall

Today is the 15th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Seems like just yesterday, doesn't it?

This is such an asinine discussion I can't even believe I am responding to it.

Indian reservations are on US soil. Case in point, if someone is born to illegal aliens on an indian reservation, they are US citizens because they are born on US soil. Indian reservations may not be subject to the laws of the state within which the land lies, but they are subject to federal jursidiction because they are not sovereign.

What are you going to tell me next, that Puerto Rico is a sovereign nation.

What do you think the meaning of sovereign is?
Agreed it is asinine. I believe Puerto Rico is a freely associated commonwealth, whatever that means. A few years ago, PR held a referendum to determine whether it should become a state, become independent, maintain status quo, or "none of the above." NOTA won.

Gore said the same thing in 2000, and he actually won, at least in some minds.

Are you denying that the US Congress has plenary power over Indian reservations? Cuz if so, you are wrong. Congress can and does pass laws that are binding on the Indians. The US Congress also chooses to give certain powers to the Indian tribes.

Moreover, if an illegal alien gives birth to a child on an Indian reservation, that child is a US citizen because that child was born in the USA.

At the risk of having failed to STP, the French have had peacekeeping forces in the Ivory Coast. The government recently started an offensive against the rebels, and bombed French peacekeepers a few days ago, killing nine of them. In retaliation, the French destroyed most of the Ivory Coast's air force. So what's your problem?
