If true, the "investigators" in question are not the police and it may instead be that one reporter made some stuff up.

Or, what GGG said.

Substantively, right now you have to discount both that one and Avenatti's until they turn a couple more cards. But just the fact that these are out there and playing in the media is hurting the Senate Rs and the White House badly right now, and their complaints come across as kind of whiny given the way they were getting press hits last week out of announcements like "we've made a call to Prof. Ford's lawyers and told them we'll give them two more hours."

He's slimy as hell, or, more accurately, as slimy as Grassley and McConnell, which is what makes it fun to watch. Kind of sick, but fun.

Devil’s Triangle? I never heard that term before. And “FFFFFFourth of July”? It’s so seedy.
ETA: The MFM threeway still strikes me strange. I get it if you’re bisexual, but as a straight man, having sex with a woman and a male friend at the same time? “Hey, Bob, I’m going to come! ...How’s that for a orgasm face? High five!”

Re: We are all Slave now.
The conventional wisdom is that with a President this unpopular, his own party should be distancing themselves from him to save themselves. But Republicans are still more scared of Trump voters than they are of swing voters, so they aren't doing it.

But the Avanatti email is consistent with something from the Mayer/Farrow article:
Quote:
After seeing Judge’s denial, Elizabeth Rasor, who met Judge at Catholic University and was in a relationship with him for about three years, said that she felt morally obligated to challenge his account that “ ‘no horseplay’ took place at Georgetown Prep with women.” Rasor stressed that “under normal circumstances, I wouldn’t reveal information that was told in confidence,” but, she said, “I can’t stand by and watch him lie.” In an interview with The New Yorker, she said, “Mark told me a very different story.” Rasor recalled that Judge had told her ashamedly of an incident that involved him and other boys taking turns having sex with a drunk woman. Rasor said that Judge seemed to regard it as fully consensual. She said that Judge did not name others involved in the incident, and she has no knowledge that Kavanaugh participated. But Rasor was disturbed by the story and noted that it undercut Judge’s protestations about the sexual innocence of Georgetown Prep. (Barbara Van Gelder, an attorney for Judge, said that he “categorically denies” the account related by Rasor. Van Gelder said that Judge had no further comment.)

For people like this this shit is usually not really about sex. And certainly not with the woman/victim.
Watch his wife if you watch his interview tonight. My impression, watching her face in the testimony, was that she hates him - obviously, not something that is "evidence" in any sense because you don't know what is behind it. But I didn't think she was trying to hide it.

There is some unusual stuff going on. It looks to me like the economy remains pretty strong, but Trump does best among those who do not think it is strong.

True. It’s just about being a dick and demeaning people.
I have to stop seeing the world through the eyes of a pure pleasure consumer. We hedonists are too naive and innocent for this world.

I think he’s losing Econ voters in his base. And picking up some previously skeptical affluent voters. I think the assertion white GOP housewives in places like the Main Line voted against Trump is incorrect. I think the GOP going to pick up voters in the affluent demographic but lose a lot more in the base.
GOP housewives are voting for three things: Themselves, their kids, and their shore house renovation.
