wow. last time Penske visited that's where i had him squat (corner office indeed.) So if you buy the place you'll be able to clone him, or at least get some DNA, or a BM at least.

Increased value with this news?

your point is that frills added to a mundane task are bothersome? do you have yourself on ignore?

No worries, old chap. By my calculations, if you keep strong and keep at it, you'll finish with 9 hours til the Oh to the 9. Plenty of time to get down with the get down, if you know what I mean and I think that you do.

As for me, it is another late night, but I am working from home, watching Deadliest Catch, and enjoying a little Balvenie. Cuz. That's. How. I. Roll. If the deposition starts a little slow tomorrow, so be it.

So.

I really think you're taking all too seriously, as are the people in the article. Come join me here in Chicago. We'll find a nice little dive on Western Avenue that's serving at 9:00 a.m., and do a PBR and a shot of Old Crow. That'll set you right, my good fellow.

I will finish tomorrow after putting in about 10 hours. I plan on being deathly ill the first full week of January. Yes, it's passive-aggressive, but fuck 'em. I don't care.

Quick Reminder

Get celebrity death pool picks to me via PM by Wednesday night if you want in the 2009 pool! Fun for the whole family!

(By the way, local celebrity in my neighborhood died last weekend at 70 -- Robert Graham, a sculptor who did a lot of big works including the FDR memorial in DC but who may be better known as Anjelica Huston's husband. RIP.)

Just for karma, perhaps you should think of something else to be during the first full week of January.

Dissent.

The cocktails at Beretta are worth the price. Sure, some of the people (and cocktails) are too precious by half, but they're making an effort, which is more than a lot of bartenders in other areas do.

I sympathize though. I remember visiting the Orbit Room on an unseasonably hot San Francisco night, and thinking to myself, I appreciate all the effort the bartender took with my drink, but I'd rather he had made me three less-perfect drinks because I just needed the beverage.

Another reason hockey players are cooler

My sister recently sent a facebook friend request to a very famous local NHL player. Who granted her request.

The Future is All Chin.

Montgomery Burns explains why Jay Leno will destroy NBC's prime-time schedule.

Not guilty. However, I did attend the opening of the Clock Bar (received an invitation from a client). There was a six-foot tall stunningly gorgeous blonde waitress. If necessary, I will kill Atticus to protect her.
