You drive a rented cargo van. She drives her little car. You drive home in the empty rented cargo van or leave it in Atlanta and fly home.
Or, you drive the van down by the river, live there, and give motivational speeches.

Maybe you should stop caring so much about Sharon Stone.

I'm a prominant attorney at a prestigous law firm; I do not drive 13 hours, plus it isn't Atlanta, so it's even longer.
Think, is Obama on Air Force 1 for the publicity photos? No, and, similarly, I don't engage in moves. Please leave the BM joke for when Flinty gets to work,

Did you want a real answer to your question, or did you just throw it out there so you could respond with your fake intarwebs persona?

I would not have recognized her if she walked past me, but I would sure think she was pretty, and I sure as hell would have thought she was younger than 50. Good god, she's talented and pretty? Susanna Hoffs, formerly of the Bangles, and more recently, Matthew Sweet.

if you had friended me, you would know I have a real, or at least closer to real (minus photoshopped penguins and Great Wall) intraweb persona
ps intraweb is never pluralized with an "s." Strunk and White says "intraweba."

Then have your fucking secretary call three long-distance movers, three car movers, and make a decision, rather than waste our time.

What exactly needs to go? If it's personal stuff (clothes, photos, CDs, intimate devices), ship it UPS. If it's furniture, buy it there. Probably cheaper anyway, and certainly easier.

2. $500 at Ikea is going to be a much smaller headache than shipping furniture for a kid across the country. Her personal crap--clothes, shoes, books, computer, etc.--should either fit in the car or in a few boxes for UPS/USPS delivery.
ETA: Or send her to thrift stores for furniture shopping if Ikea isn't in the immediate vicinity. My most favorite couch I ever owned was bought for $25 when I was 18 at the Salvation Army somewhere in the middle of Pomona, California. Ridiculosly comfortable, few stains, non-embarrassing pattern, and made me very popular with the kid I handed it off to when I finished up with school.

Matt Modine has lost a lot of weight.

A big 2 to this. Now cut the "I'm a bigshot attorney too important to drive 11 hours with my kid" crap and make the trip with her.

I'd have to see them side by side for a real life comparison but based on the pictures, Susanna looks better (more "real" looking) than Sharon. But both look amazing for 50.

i'm thinking duffle bags on a plane backed by slow UPS, backed by thurgreed's car company. Furniture, garage sale hopefully. The problem with Ikea is I'm useless at assembly. plus, there aren't ikeas everywhere yet. My wife is the technical one, we're like the Lorenzos from All in the family, which reminds me of Maude, which makes me sad.
