I made the mistake of seeing Scoop yesterday and -- Scarlett Johansson notwithstanding -- am still trying to get my brain to start functioning again.

Hot enough for ya?

It's hot enough for me.

the real measure for me is, "is it hot enough to fry an egg?"

I have sent my assistant down to the parking garage with some Grade AA, Organic Brown eggs to test this. I will report back.

I read a not-so-kind review yesterday that contained this striking observation:

Quote:
"To humiliate Johansson any further, Allen would have to coarsen A Canturbury Tale and literally take a dump on her."

There would be a market for this, I'm guessing.

Yes.

I also learned yesterday that it isn't a particularly good idea to go bicycling in 90 degree weather with 90 percent humidity.

Then again, nobody's ever accused me of having much common sense.

Enough of this back-and-forth. Post a naked picture from the neck down.

Our illustrious Governor appeared on a network morning show (national!!!) to speak about our humble state and the heat wave gripping it. Apparently, it is supposed to get to 102 today. Right here in Minnesota! There be 110% humidity and the heat index will be in the 165-170 degree range. It will be possible to fry eggs on sidewalks that are made entirely of dry ice. All infants and elderly people in the state will perish.

But what will the wind chill be?

The air is beyond stagnant, causing a rare negative wind chill, pushing the heat index (the "feels like" index) up another 30 or so degrees.

That's the crap we had here last week. Where it was 110 at my house. Fortunately I was not there. And my azaleas and maples are nice and crispy now. You can have that shit, I don't like it. Dry heat, wet heat - it's all bad.
