The kimono could be as simple or as complicated as you want to go.
.
last time i was in Kyoto, walking up the shopping road leading to Otowa-san Kiyomizu-dera, you know the waterfall temple, i saw some Geisha. there were two of them giggling and walking holding hands up towards the temple. I was stoked because Geisha means some sake party would be there and i was thirsty. I didn't find any party, but on the way back down the hill I saw a little store where a few guys were making up ordinary women as geisha. it's like a tourist thing to do, but these were being done by actual Gion make-up people.

Late October is not tourist season in Kyoto. a woman of dtb's means might want to fly one of these guys out to TCOTU for such an important event. i could probably sort out the address.

Re: Congratulations Slave and Catrin!!!

This is comforting. It's apparently not my fault I do the things I do. I can blame Dionysus:
Quote:

Whether it is the recent sexpidemic of teachers seducing students, the growing pansexual hedonism of Burning Man-like festivals worldwide, the flood of overtly sexual content on television and the big screen, the casual intimate 'hook-ups' of modern college kids, or the deviant sex acts celebrated by people parading fully nude on public streets in broad daylight, something has been lost between the innocent days of the Great Generation's public standards and the rapid erosion of contemporary decency.

Now, a researcher and author whose new book has skyrocketed up best-seller's lists warns that the growing trend of hedonism may be supernaturally motivated.

In "Nephilim Stargates: The Year 2012 and the Return of the Watchers," Thomas Horn ties moral abandonment to an ancient spirit, known in antiquity as the Greek god Dionysus (Roman Bacchus) who represented the personification of unrestrained sexuality.

(Story continues below)

"Followers of Dionysus imagined him as the presence that is otherwise defined within man as the craving that longs to 'let itself go' and to 'give itself over' to outlaw desires," says Horn. "What puritans might resist as the lustful wants of the carnal man or the temptations of the Devil, the followers of Dionysus embraced as the incarnate power that would, in the afterlife, liberate man's soul from the constraints of the present world and from customs which sought to define respectability through obedience to moral law."

According to Horn, worshippers of Dionysus attempted to bring themselves into union with the god through ritual casting off of the bonds of sexual denial and primal constraint by seeking to attain a "higher state of ecstasy."

The uninhibited rituals of ecstasy (Greek for "outside the body") employed lascivious behavior, ecstatic communal dancing to the drums and flute, flicking of the head backward (as found in most trance inducing cults), and overt consumption of wine to bring the followers of Dionysus into a supernatural condition which enabled them to escape the temporary limitations of the body and mind and to achieve an orgiastic state of "enthousiasmos", or "outside the body and inside the god."
I'm part of the problem, but it's not my fault.

Can you send Dionysus my way? I would like to be a bigger part of the problem.

DEXTER Spoiler

so far I like season three. space-fuck did something on her own, which is nice.

BUT one picky point- no way Prado doesn't need to see the body. I get letting Dex deal with it, but not see it for confirmation? what does he tell the brother? he must be one trusting son of a gun.

and I've never seen Jimmy Smits do anything other than "in control" (LA Law and NYPD) but i'm not sure he does tortured real well.

if you go to "online users" you see a list of everyone here, and what they are doing. the last place didn't identify spiders, but here does. now I see it identifies types of spiders.

Or is Sarah Palin wearing black shoes with a brown suit?

Oh, God, yes. We're talking about a totally outrageous paradigm.

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.

Better question... If not for her success, would her husband be that volunteer firefighter who gets arrested for setting fires for the rush of putting them out?*

Good point Sebby, but why are success and arson mutually exclusive?

Nah, he's another hick archetype--he races snowmobiles (snow machines in Alaska) and deducts the expenses of his hobby from his business income. Between the mountains, he'd race midget cars or be a semi-pro bass fisher, but still get one sponsor so he claim it's a business and have all of us help pay (indirectly) for his hobby.
