Were I so inclined, I could post 17,000 links from the last week demonstrating why Hillary is an anti-feminist, fascist, lying, sickly shrew, but there is no need, I wouldn't want to bore you or anyone else, nor would you particularly care.

My DIL is here from Haiti, so I am really not anti-immigration. But curious, this woman who just came here as a wife and is part of the SB massacre, she was ISIS'ed up. Is it easy to get in? Do we not vet people much?

I think it's pretty easy to get in if you are marrying someone. IIRC, she was on a 90-day visa for people who are going to get married.
My employer is blocking me from posting at work. I can read what you all say, but I can't post. Sorry to miss out on the circle jerk yesterday, and hi, Slave.

If the party has any sanity left, it will nominate Rubio. I don't know if it does.

Heck, I love parts of Paul. Which is a pretty strong sign he's never be nominated by the GOP.
Cruz is an insane person.

If Rubio is the nominee, that's going to be his challenge as well. To his credit, he's avoided that appearance in the debates thus far.

Stop with the misdirection. If you're not arguing that he didn't say something so impossibly stupid, then you have no point.

I haven't lived in Brooklyn in like 12 years. But my echo chamber just continues to grow because the Republican party is so off their collective rockers that no one in their right mind defends those assholes.

Rubio won't beat Hillary. And yes, Trump is the world's worst nightmare.

Trump's ceiling is around 35% of actual general election voters. That's enough to win in a three way race, but it's a lot of work to set up operations in all 50 states to run as the third guy. I think that's his only path to potential victory and I don't know if he wants to take it.
If he gets the GOP nomination, he will lose badly.

[Going back at least 3 years, I said the nomination would come down to Rubio or Walker. Walker imploded, so I'm still 1/2]
I love parts of Cruz and parts of Paul, but they both sometimes drive me nuts and are both best served being in leadership roles in the Senate. Christie should be polling better. Carson is wonderful, nice guy - one on one he's great (which explains his popularity in Iowa), but he looks like a "Not Ready for Prime Time Player" when on the stage. He's going nowhere.
And I hate to even type this - as I've met the guy several times and abhor him - but if Trump continues this vanity run of his, he's the next POTUS.

I had missed this one. A leadership role in the Senate for Cruz and Paul? You've clearly been smoking some really good stuff.
Do you realize how hated and isolated Cruz is among his fellow senators, on both sides of the aisle? What leadership position do you expect him to get in the Senate?
Paul in a leadership role is mildly less laughable, but his predilection for getting into food fights with the Senior Senator from his own state, who just happens to also be the grand pooh-bah, has been a bit career limiting.
Neither of these two hold any of the 17 current leadership positions in the Senate. Maybe Paul could finagle his way into a lower rung position over the next 6 to 12 years, but Cruz? It would take a miracle.

I think its north of there, myself, and that if Trump were the nominee many of his current Republican detractors would quickly become apologists. Many of the Rs who really hate him are in states no R will win anyways.
But Rs keep thinking they can pull enough hate-mongering whites, often former-dems, into their voter pool to go over the top, ignoring that this is a declining constituency they have already sewn up. If Trump is the nominee, Hispanics and Women put Dems over the top in some unexpected states; Trump still wins overwhelming among white men, especially in the South, who will continue to ceaselessly whine. But Trump won't be a Goldwater (where Cruz could well be, and Carson certainly would be).
