We all have our favorite Repub. I've been partial to Huntsman and Huckabee for a while. For very different reasons.
The Rs are pretty much abandoning any pretense of sanity on foreign policy. It is amazing how incredibly thin each of their resumes is. If an R wins it, we have the prospect of the most important leader in the world having trouble finding Canada on a map.

It's not the resumes that worry me so much -- after all, neither Obama nor Clinton* had a long foreign policy resume, and I can think of lots of people who do who I'd never want to see as President.
It's the idea that talking tough constitutes policy. Let's shoot down Russian planes! Let's carpet bomb ISIS (but the kind of carpet-bombing that doesn't kill civilians)! Let's invade some more places!
"Resolve" and dressing up as a warrior are what got us into this barrel of shit in the first place.

Translation: the people working in the WTC, the African embassies and on the Cole aren't my friends or relatives so they don't matter?

Ehhh, I shouldn't have attacked Sidd. Most Dems give Clinton a pass; he's no different. But "Years of peace?" That just spins me out. AQ allowed to grow unabated, through increasing attacks. Clinton years were hardly years of peace.
I'm done here again. Enjoy the echo.

Richard Nixon put a man on the moon, even though it was planned out and a go on LBJ's watch?

Re: Agree one hunnert
I walked away from Nikki Haley's response to the SOTU thinking there might be hope for the Republic party.
But don't worry, they brought me back to my senses this morning.

After all the football (and finally, a decent $$$ win for Slave in FanDuel - sorry Cuomo slaves), I forgot that Debbie hid yet another Democrat debate that no one would see - on a Sunday? Night! And true to form, "Madam Secretary" - that unabashed attempt by CBS to make Hillary look younger, stronger, prettier, and someone Bill Clinton might actually want to fuck - nearly doubled the debate in the Neilsens - not saying much, BTW. Fuck, even left-wing folks would prefer would watch a fantasy rewrite of that anti-woman hag Hillary than the real thing. I'm sure VOX and GGG somehow think this is a cool thing. Still waiting for that episode CBS keeps promising when Tea Leoni does opp research on and calls Chloe Moretz and Selena Gomez "bimbos" for sleeping with her husband.
Here's the problem. Trump's gonna win. Unless the Dems pull a September surprise with Oprah or Clooney, the Dems are toast. I blame all the Blue State PC Bullshit for even allowing this to happen.
SlaveNo(I personally blame this echo chamber)More
PS and unrelated - As a born and bred obnoxious NY-er, I find it laughable that anyone in NYC would be offended by Cruz' comments about NY. He was spot on, everyone in the entire fucking country knows what he meant, and the pearl clutching by the NY media only proved his point. Wasn't it just last year that Gov Cuomo told me that NRA guys like myself are no longer welcome in my home state? Funny to watch the idiocy.

Um, yeah. Blue States are responsible for Trump. Not FOX, not Sarah Palin, not the endless rabble-rousing and hysterics from the Tea Party over the past 8 years about how the country was on the brink of Nazi-Stali-Islamofascism, not the birthers, and certainly not the GOP Establishment's utter failure to tell the loony wing to STFU.
As Molly Ivins once said, you got to dance with them that brung you. The GOP brung the crazy, enjoy the dance.
P.S. I don't blame the Red States for the whackiness that is Bernie Sanders.

Isn't it kind of obvious that the DNC would just as soon keep the primaries low profile? Gives the winner more ability to move to the center because no one remembers what they said, where we'll have lots of clips of the Rs in full crazy mode come the fall.

I don't get why people think Trump is any crazier than Cruz or Paul. Really, what's the difference between the different loons in the loonie bin?
