Are you suggesting that you are prepared to bet that Hillary Clinton will be indicted between now and Election Day?

I already have multiple long-standing bets that, come November, Hillary will not be the Dem candidate, she'll find some convenient reason to duck out (failing health, plea bargain, etc.) and someone else will step in at the last minute (a la Lautenberg jumping in when Torricelli bailed for ethics violations).

You should have got in your bets earlier.

Yours. All of those articles are completely harmless. Your side is actually dangerous.

Next question.

You really want to use that sort of yardstick? There are a half-dozen GOP candidates, including Carly "but I was a star and I cheered for Iowa in the Rose Bowl" Fiorina, who are trailing Ann Coulter and Ammon Bundy.

I still want to know who has the answers for road salt if not us. Come on, Slave, if not America, who?

Let me get this straight:

You shot off your mouth about how Hillary will be indicted before the election. I called you on it, and asked if you were really willing to bet on that. Your response is that you already have other, similar bets out there, and I'm too late.

So, you expect me to believe that you are exercising restraint in connection with (1) gambling and (2) Hillary? Have you forgotten that I know you, both IRL and in LV?

I don't think Hillary will be indicted. She may deserve it, but it'd appear that a likely President is being deprived of office by choice of the AG.

Her health is iffy. She had a stroke a few years back. But so did Hugh Heffner... in 1986.

Biden could walk away with it. But man -- could you imagine how that would be read? "Obama, super-badass Putin style, offs Presidential Candidate he hates, putting his buddy in the office." (Obama could be the first President since Nixon to basically appoint the next one.)

And Biden should be the nominee. He's trustworthy and an actual statesman. I have nothing against Hillary or Bill (I'd vote for Bill if he could run tomorrow, and could see myself voting for Hillary as well). However, the voting public wants to see someone who isn't entirely full of shit. (I think Bernie caused this, which makes me love the man.) Trump is full of shit, but to many people, being crass is "keeping it real," and that's as good as being honest. Hillary's full of shit on almost everything and the absolute antithesis of "real." She'll have to get 80% of the female vote to beat him.

...Or Ted Cruz wins the GOP nod. In which case, I am looking into foreign citizenship.

There's all kinds of room to disagree with his policy choices, but he does not seem to be crook. And yet there's a huge swath of America that's outraged at his "tyranny."
I think that's a big part of what's infuriating to right wingers about Obama. You can look all day, but there's nothing criminal. The best the right wing can muster is guilt by association bullshit (Rezko, Ayers, etc.).

They got used to being able to dig up dirt on the Clintons. It became a huge part of their strategy (in lieu of having any policy message other than cutting taxes and subsidies for corporations). Obama's squeaky cleanness took away their ammo.

She will not be indicted pre-nomination. If she gets it, she will not be indicted pre-election. Once she's elected, she will not get indicted because she will do an overhaul of all cabinet positions and ensure that endless administrative barriers are placed between any career prosecutor or investigator and an indictment. Every minute that passes, your prediction gets weaker.

(And if Bernie wins, she might not get indicted because, "Who gives a fuck? Hasn't she been punished enough for being a crooked piece of shit?")

Speaking of indictments, I'm pleased as punch at the Harris County grand jury who indicted those assholes yesterday for giving fake IDs to Planned Parenthood. I'm co-chairing the annual luncheon for that particular affiliate tomorrow. To say the room will be celebratory is an understatement.

Obama is the closest to an actual human being as the president in my life time. I disagree with some of what he does, but you have to admire how he has done it.

I'm conflicted on this one. I like seeing those assholes get what's deserved. But I hate political indictments. Courts and prosecutors are already crooked enough the way it is.

I felt the same way about Ted Stevens, Tom Delay, Rostenkowski, Martha Stewart, etc. If the average guy wouldn't be indicted for doing something, nobody should be indicted for it.
