I like the title and certainly, righteously feel I inspired both the race to the last 5K and the title. As I am the king of pie....

ETA: Except for the new rule that bars the use of posters' names in the thread title.

Why, thank you, Penske.

I am a LONG time lurker (since Yahoo!), first time poster (only having just registered to see Burger's link - weird what can finally draw you in), and am not your sock (uh, as far as I know).

Fringey - As far as I'm concerned, the Westside does not extend past BH. And I've lived here since age 5, so I am comfortable with my assessment of the local geography.

Well, duh. They probably called it an Eyetalian dish too.

ETA: Blast! Should have scrolled before posting.

Fringey, I feel for you on hungry & crabby going together. It's all in the blood sugar levels. Low blood sugar = crabbiness and ill-advised deletions.

On fried foods: At the Minnesota State Fair, they have more kinds of fried food on a stick than any one person could eat. There is fried dill pickle, fried candy bars, etc., including the new and yucky sounding fried "hotdish on a stick." I also heard there is a fried chocolate chip cookie (presumably on a stick). I don't think there is fried brownies on a stick though that is an idea I have. The brownies would be rolled in brownie crumbs and I want to call it "Fried Dirt on a Stick" (TM) because I think they could sell fried dirt at the Fair if it came on a stick.
