golf is so precise, there's a good chance he won't be all the way there, but I really hope he makes it back fully.

They look good on black men. There, I said it.

Yeah. What an awesome hat. Fuckin A.
I tried to like Michelle's inaugural gown -- I really did, but I think it was just a little boxy on her. She has a fabulous statuesque body and the draping could have been a lot sexier.

2. I wish I could pull off a hat like that.

2. The dress would have been about a thousand times more flattering with a dropped waist.

A little too much. And the third button at the top of that one has to go as well. I never liked or wore the three button even when it came back into vogue (I have a rule against ever buttoning jackets, even in court... feels too confining). But the half-assed third button on the beginning of the fold of the lapel thing shows no decisiveness at all. Either go with the three button suit or go with the two button suit, but for God's sake, don't try to have it both ways. You only bring shame on yourself.

I think Obama more often wears blue ties, FWIW.

Ms. Slothrop liked Jill Biden's boots. Here's a poor shot of them:

That is my problem with it. She is tall and lean and she managed to have a custom gown made for her that cuts off her torso?? WHY???????

Well, he ought to wear more stripes and polka dots. He dresses like Bush. Boring, simple patterns and a closet of bland, standard issue white shirts.
Clinton and Reagan at least had some style in the shit they wore, and HW Bush worked the super-old money wrinkled ill-fitting-thing-plus-real-club-tie thing, which is a look of sorts. When I saw recent photos of meetings between 43 and 44 during the transition, they looked like a couple of insurance salesmen.

2. It looked like something she might have picked up from under the christmas tree at Nordstrom's.
