Outside of Joy Reid, is there anyone on cable who does smart anymore?

Ha! I use Trader Joe's chili when I do that. And it's usually the other way around - shirt but no pants. Just like Porky Pig.

Wow
Is it just me or is this a major issue that no one seems to be paying attention to?
http://bigstory.ap.org/581d6394e0684b5d89c01ba66f074f03
"Longtime Trump adviser Roger Stone told The Associated Press Wednesday that he believes his own online exchanges with a Russian-linked hacker were obtained through a special warrant that allows the government to collect the communications of people suspected of being agents of a foreign nation. Stone communicated through Twitter direct messages with Guccifer 2.0, a hacker who has claimed responsibility for breaching the Democratic National Committee.
Stone said he was unaware at the time that U.S. officials believed the hacker had ties to Russia."
How does this not end up with Stone in jail? I think a huge case is being built very carefully right now and the FBI is stalling the senate judiciary committee because they don't want to reveal what they have yet.
Anyone?

On the one hand, I think a huge case can be built, on the other, I think a lot of people who ought to be focused laser-like on this haven't been, and some of the delay may be CYA as the FBI and others do the work they should have done eight or nine months ago. Remember, the FBI put more people on Clinton's emails than on the Russia investigation.
I'm deeply worried that there may be some people who are complicit in the FBI as well as in the administration.

Uhh, the thread was about firing employees with guns and the post was about how FIL ducked and covered from a dude the day before he went off with a gun. So, in context totally fair.
Maybe it sounded really really bad and wasn't what happened -- but it sounded really really bad.

I don't get why it sounded bad. There are situations where if some dude comes to your office and asks for you, and you weren't expecting him and don't know who he is, it's kosher to decline come out to meet him. That's what happened.

Not sure why you think this necessarily ends poorly for Stone. What's his crime?

When the story was related it was in the context of firing employees. Not some unknown dude. Totally different.
The way the story came off it was like, fired dude came back looked for his boss, and couldn't find him, and . . .

No prosecutor debases himself by going after that guy.
His existence is arguably criminal. US v. Universe, No. 373547-Crim-2017
