Vogons?
From SETI:
"Upon discovery and confirmation of signals produced by extraterrestrial intelligence, SETI@home will make an announcement in the form of an IAU (International Astronomical Union) telegram. This is a standard way of informing the astronomical community of important discoveries. The telegram contains all of the important information (frequencies, bandwidth, location in the sky, etc.) that would be necessary for other astronomical groups to confirm the observation. The person(s) who found the signal with their screen saver would be named as one of the co-discoverers along with the others on the SETI@home team. At this point we would still be unsure if the signal was generated by an intelligent civilization or maybe some new astronomical phenomenon."
Here is a list of who I hope the aliens are:
(1) ALFS
(2) Wookies
(3) Magratheans
ETA: the above is unsubstantiated and not from the SETI website. SETI is scheduled to make a major announcement, but the subject is unknown.

According to the ads on my yahoo mail, Victoria's Secret is having a boot sale. Perhaps he should start looking there.

NO NO NO NO NO -- I can't see pictures from VC on my work computer. When I can't see the pictures, I feel left out.

actually, I'm more covered up than usual because I'm also wearing a jacket. Nothing form-fitting at all. Sort of burka-y.

Maybe ditch the skirt for something sportier next time you're up for promotion?
An upside is you wouldn't need to worry about bringing clean underwear

The next two levels above me are both women. I would still need clean underwear for the gym -- I'm not working out in that. My boots only come up to the knee. And, despite what one might think, we are not allowed to bring personal weapons to work.

Jessica Simpson is all about boots over the knee. I'm not convinced that it is such a great looks. She is starting to become eclipsed by the newly nose bobbed hotness of her sister...

and a promotion would be for one of their jobs. you just need to convince the guy above them, that you are a better "fit" for the job.

Um, in a Mormon church? I know he grew up Mormon, and went to BYU (where he met Neil Labute). I had kind of thought he was no longer going to church, but I recently heard a rumor that he's still more or less among the faithful.

I don't find him that attractive. But then, I'm really really not into the cigarette thing.
eta jane fonda has really really long legs.

Me, either. But if it makes you feel better, if my rumors are true and he is still doing the Mo thing, the cigarette is almost certainly a prop and not evidence of any kind of ongoing habit.

She's 5'8" (according to IMDB). Her legs look to me to be generally proportionate to a 5'8" woman's frame. Really really long legs = 6' or taller unless proportions are off. She can probably buy regular length jeans (as opposed to long jeans) in most or all brands. If Jane Fonda wears jeans. FWIW.

Culpepper either sucks or is not yet fully healed. I suspect it's a little of both, though -- and the fact that he doesn't have Randy Moss to stretch the field.
Harrington looked pretty good in the last quarter yesterday. In fact, he seized all momentum and was picking the Jets apart at will with nine minutes to go yesterday. In fact, had their kicker not choked, they would have probably carried their momentum into overtime and won the game.

Humorous reading
The comments to this blog post regarding the quality of the strippers at the former Houston club The Pink Pussycat are kinda funny.
There's a vauge reference to the one armed stripper who used to work there.

They are nicely shaped. She was ridiculously hot back then.
