I'm just insulted he opted to go shopping rather than treat us all to salty caramel cupcakes, which I realize is something you really don't want to be treated to in Detroit, Cleveland, or Lansing.

My mom got a Q7 two months ago and I've taken it out for drives. If overpriced pleather's what you want, and flimsy, cheaper-than-Audi-should-be-offering doors are your thing, have at it. Three thumbs down.

And its ugly. The nose on the thing looks like someone put an A4 on roids. Unimaginative to say the least.

ETA: And it has no cargo space at all.
 | Sounds like that's out -- you saved me a trip to Pittsfield. Thanks!

Believe it or not, I'm scheduling a test drive of the Buick Enclave. My father-in-law (car guy extraordinaire ) thinks GMs are good cars, and the Consumer Reports and other reviewers rate it very highly. I just have to get over the fact that I'd be driving a Buick. Eek.

PS -- My husband said the same thing about how ugly the Q7 is. |

 | I googled the Enclave because I couldn't picture it and realized my sister's car is of the type you want. She has a Suburu Tribeca and I think it's a nice car. Bear in mind that I am not a "car person" but it is a comfortable ride and has nice features and decent storage even when the third row seats are being used. |

What is up with insane runners?

Some runners must just be crazy or have a death wish.
On the way to work this morning; still dark and -2 (not counting windchill). Stopped at the light and see a runner dressed in black running tights and a black hoodie with no more reflective stuff than the little bits on the shoes. And running with his back to traffic (granted he was running on a one-way frontage road).

I haven't decided if the frostbite will get him before a car does.

 | You've married well.

Sadly, your FIL is nuts. You in a Buick crossover? No. I cannot see the fit.

Either way, Flower is Flower. But your argument remains unconvincing no matter the tone of my childish responses.

 | Exactly what argument are you talking about? I'm not trying to convince you of anything. What a waste of time that would be.

But thanks again for shrewdly (and stridently) pointing out the error of my ways. A board mentor like you sure is constructive. We're all so grateful for your input. Thanks again!! |
