Speaking of Graceland, I have to go to Memphis in a couple of months. The friend I'm visiting recommended two hotels on or near Beale Street -- the Peabody and the Westin. They look comparable based on their websites. Has anybody here stayed at either one, and what did you think?

Peabody has the ducks. I'd stay there- although I've only been at the Little rock Peabody. I am making this decision simply based upon the liklihood that a Westin will be cookie-cutter compared to the Peabody.

I've stayed at both. You want the Peabody.

eh, it seems unsanitary. I guess as long as they don't let the ducks in the rooms or the restaurants, I can live with it.

Exactly, like the fish tank at the entrance to Chinese restaurants.

Under what circumstances would you do so?
