At least Ted Cruz isn't going around Indiana bragging about receiving the endorsement of the state's most famous convicted rapist. To be honest, it's coming from Boehner, who isn't particularly popular with a large segment of rank and file Rs anyway. Reince is pulling out all the stops to get the #NeverTrumpers to fall in line, and then Boehner says he'll vote for Hillary. Sigh.

I was out dealing with floods and despair over the blue state primaries, but am feeling a bit more hopeful with the rumor that Pence is endorsing Cruz today and hope that he'll do in Indiana what Walker did in Wisconsin. In any case, I have hope, but not an expectation, that this whole thing won't end up as a cluster. I would give even odds on Trump getting it on the first ballot at this point.

So I am calling it early. Trump is going to win Indiana. I will get really drunk tonight and find a new political party when I sober up tomorrow.

I have felt sick to my stomach all day. The GOP *is* the party that sucks. Hillary would make a terrible President, and is generally just a bad person, but we will have managed to nominate someone who is manifestly unfit for any office.

I pray that Van Jones is wrong about Trump winning. I believe he is correct that Trump will get a multiple of the African American vote that Romney received, but he is severely underestimating the depths of the Never Trump ranks among conservatives.

I hate to pile on (or, at least I'm aware that I'm doing it), but the evidence is mounting that Never Trump is actually really, really shallow.

If it wasn't, the Kasich/Cruz alliance might have helped rather that turn off even more GOP voters. Add to that the numbers of GOP officials walking back their Never Trump statements who will back him in the general, and yeah, I don't think the party is what you thought it was.

There is no Kasich/Cruz alliance, because Kasich is an idiot. The same day the alliance was announced, he said that his supporters in Indiana should vote for him. So kind of the exact same thing he did to Rubio.

After Cruz's engagement with Trump supporters yesterday who were utterly resistant to truth, even the truth as to what Trump himself has said and which can easily be Googled, and today's accusation from Trump that Cruz's father was complicit in JFK's assassination, I have given up. Trump has based his con on the shallow, unwashed, ill-informed populace as they are, not as I wish them to be. They are not educated. They are not prone to reason or discernment. They are not conservative. Bernie has made inroads with the safe spacers who want everything for free. Trump has blown the top off of the anti-Semites and white supremacists.

Trump deserves the party he is getting, that's for sure.
