Anyway, hardly consistent.
Bush was not stupid, but he actively disdained intellectual effort or achievement.

I've posted about this a bunch. She is a moron. The minute McCain picked her, he lost my vote - and that was her high water mark.

But she is pretty hot.

We can argue about the abilities of any of those people, but the point was really whether they were all attacked for being stupid. They were not.

And I don't know why I left out McCain and Palin. One was and the other was not. Apparently I blocked them out.

He was not interested in making the effort to learn things or figure them out, and he was dismissive of others who did.

I can't tell whether you agree with Adder that he was stupid, or whether it escaped your notice for eight years that the guy had anti-intellectual pretensions and governed like it.

I think Ty meant that Bush2 was lazy and didn't want to study -- either at Yale or in the presidency.

Hot yes, but don't you find her tone of voice grating when she opens her mouth? Nicki Halley is the new Hot Republican Governor, and has a much better tone of voice.

It's not the tone of voice. It's the accent. She sounds like she's from rural Minnesota.

No, I think it's the tone more than the accent. She has that, I'm right, you're wrong, and if you disagree I am going to castrate you and stuff a broken bottle up your ass kind of tone.

There are few rural accents I don't enjoy listening to.
