I'm sure TM's daughter has lots of cruising opportunities on the wide, leafy, traffic free streets of TCOTU.

Audio Question
Does anyone on the boards have a wireless speaker system in your house? I've been looking at getting a basic system for my apartment and also considering getting a simple Bluetooth speaker for my office, so I can play music off my iPhone when the folks in the bullpen outside are talking too loudly.
I've thought it might make more sense to first get a basic home theater system for my flatscreen TV, then get one of those wireless connections so I can just stream iTunes through that. I now have WiFi in my apartment because I'm only 7 years behind the times, tech-wise.
All useful information appreciated. And Happy Thanksgiving. Hope those East Coast-bound make it safely.

I love my Sonos. I have a Play 5 and a Play 3, one in the living room and one in the kitchen/dining room. They work seemlessly and sound great to my admittedly less than audiophile ears. I can play anything off my i-Tunes library, Pandora, radio stations from pretty much everywhere. With a Spotify Premium subscription, you can play, well, pretty much anything. All controlled with my iPhone or iPad.
A friend has the Playbar with a subwoofer and loves it for the tv; price is pretty steep for that combo, though.

I have a Yamaha sound bar with a sub woofer bought about 7 years ago. Durable, adequate and didn't require me to run wires all over the place. One wire from the TV to the speaker and one to the sub.
If I were doing it today, I would opt for a Bose Solo or something as it's a wee bit smaller. But Bose is incredibly overpriced.

"Overpriced" doesn't even make the top ten for you.

Your state wants Harrison Bergeron to be the model for all commercial and financial interaction, but you won't give me break #1

"Full Stop"
This is highly annoying. Becoming almost as bad as "Fail" was a few years back.

Bose's iPod interfaces are also cheaply constructed and degrade over time, rendering them unable to connect. I have Bose in three rooms and two of the connector things are already shot. One of them is responsible for ruining some of the features on my iPhone (if you damage the connecter strip in your phone, it loses all sorts of features).
We're getting Sonos.

Most of the longboards I see these days are ridden down the middle of Broadway or Halsted by hipster doofuses with pierced eyebrows and rainbow socks.

Thanks
