Pro-Tip: If I give you a list of people who could do X for you, and tell you one is someone I've worked with extensively and trust to do a good job but the other is likely cheaper, pick the one I trust to do a good job.

Except New jack City. Everyone wanted Nino Brown to die. As Scotty says: "I wanna shoot you so bad, my dick's hard!"

Are his other mafia-related books -- The Last Don, for example -- set in different worlds with different characters than The Godfather? I didn't realize.

He did write at least one sequel, but it was not part of the movies. The Godfather is an interesting read (although pure pulp) to "see" the scenes likely left out, but sort of explaining some things that were in- Sonny's gooma as an example

Yes. There was a "prequel" published in 2012, thirteen years after the writer's death. That was written by a different author, though, someone named Ed Falco. It purports to be based on a screenplay written but never published by Puzo during his lifetime. I'm inclined to think that if Puzo couldn't (or wouldn't) get it published, there was probably a good reason.

I agree it has that effect on some viewers, but if I worried too much about that, it would kill my enjoyment of movies and all art. The Catcher in the Rye had the effect of millions of idiots thinking Salinger thought Caulfield was a hero, and it’s probably the most popular book on death row. We don’t need to let the world be run by people who think Lolita "glorified" pedophilia.

(I assume I do not need to disclose the fact that I fucking despise Coach K and revel in his first round losses.)

Not sure if I have said this before, but in case not:
A long time ago, before Coach K became "Coach K" and Duke became what it is now, Coach K was exceptionally decent to me at some inconvenience to him, something probably no one else noticed or cared about. Since then, I have seen him say and do things I disagree with, and suspect that his position could have the same corrosive effect on his soul that Article III has on that of many federal judges, but he still gets the benefit of the doubt from me.

Whatever amount you would otherwise donate to the school.
