I don't know if they carry it. If expensive likely not.

Probably. You have to go to the "Premium," or "Governor's Select" (or some such dumb name) stores.
No. They don't advertise where these are.
Yes. They tend to be in better neighborhoods.
But no. Not always. Sometimes they're in less than desirable areas.
Like everything here, it makes no sense, is probably designed by someone senile, and even at its best, is all but assuredly substandard compared to other states.
Anyone know anybody looking for someone like me to do work in another state? I truly cannot take this state anymore. Seriously. I cannot live my life here another year. It is truly hopeless, decrepit, economically dead, and life is too short.

What Sebby said.
Also, everyone buys booze in New Jersey anyway.

Should be around $25, but it's hard to find.

I ended up for 3 days in Islamorda or something like that. Nothing to do in the bad way. Then Bal Harbour for 4 days. Nothing to do in the good way.

Seriously? I had no idea Pennsylvania was like the south in the 1950s ("last liquor until border!")

3 days in Islamorada is 2 too many. 4 days in Bal Harbour is 3 too many.

You know what else is a bat-shit crazy system? My wine guy has to send my wine to a New Hampshire mail drop, because I can't get mail order wine in Massachusetts. And if you're buying a first or second growth here, the mark up is outrageous and it's hard to find a place with more than a couple bottles of any one vintage.

I had a client in Mass a few years back. Wanted to send some wine as a gift after we won our case. Had to send it to his Texas office.
Texas. More civilized than Mass. Go figure.

You kidding? This state's an absolute shithole. It's outrageously corrupt, the only industries are govt, old folks homes, a pocket of tech in Pittsburgh, a maggot pool of ambulance chasers in Philly, and a few pharma companies around the city.
Finance? None.
R/E? Flat.
Brain drain? Staggering.
I don't think I'm working on anything here that doesn't involve some entity teetering on the brink of bankruptcy. People bag on Jersey all the time, but it least it has the beach. The boundary between the two states is a Do Long Bridge of sorts... All traffic west leading into "the asshole of the universe."

You can't buy beer in the same store you can liquor and wine.
Nope. Not kidding.
You can buy beer at a grocery store, but only two six packs at a time. If you want a case, or a keg, you have to go to a licensed "beer distributor." That distributor cannot, however, sell you six packs. If you want that, turn around and go back to the grocery store.
(By the way, up until a couple years ago, grocery stores were barred from selling beer altogether. You had to get six packs from pizza joints, or bars.)
So... I can buy 18% Dogfishhead Worldwide Stout at a Wegmans. But if I want 12.5% champagne, I have to go to the liquor store (where I can buy as much wine or liquor as I want in one shot, unlike the grocery store regulations on beer purchases).
But-- If you want to buy more than two sixes at a grocery store, you can simply walk out with two, and come back and buy another two as many times as you like. You could buy the entire store's stock out if you wanted. But it must be done two sixes at a time.
ETA: Distributors are not allowed to sell "mixed sixes" cases. You must buy one case of one kind of beer. They can lose their license if caught deviating from this rule. Grocery stores and bars, however, are allowed to sell you mixed six packs including as many different beers as you like.
ETA2: High end grocers have restaurants in them now, where one may drink liquor, wine, or beer. That restaurant, inside the grocery store that sells six packs of beer, can sell you growlers of keg beer. But it cannot sell sixes. Those must be purchased outside the door of the restaurant, within the store itself, where growlers cannot be purchased.
Government by the senile and corrupt, for the dim and inbred.
