The proof that it sucks is that the masses like it so much. 8 million people are always wrong.

A more accurate conclusion would be that rap has become so big that there is no way to generalize about it. I own about 100-150 hip hop CDs and probably do not know most or any of the Billboard Top 40 rap. It is not what I listen to. Your conclusion is like saying that Radiohead sucks because every 11 year old likes Justin Timberlake.

Look, Sunny's an idiot, and I'm an angry unrealistic crank, bu, Fringey, you just sound like an angry unhappy bitch. "Bitch" is cheap and I'm loathe to use it, but it so perfectly fits the snippy, annoying chip-on-the-shoulder voice which so is your board persona.
I at least recognize I'm a boorish idiot half the time. You don't seem to have a hint of what you sound like.
I'll bring it down to locker room terms... You sound like a chick who really needs to get fucked, correctly. I could be wrong, but that's what'd I'd describe if I had to... I know your kind. I've date her. She's an unsatisfied wench.

Is this just a defect I have or has anyone else ever had this kind of shallow shoe fixation (or another meaningless fixation)?

We are completely different. Paigow and Penske both deserve all the ridicule you can pile on.

Are you sure you want to admit that? If she's an unsatisfied wench, isn't that your problem?

Too late. You didn't think they could buy me off by giving me a board, did you?
As to the other board, hey, I'm just trying to get something started. Give a new cat a chance. My subjects are limited over there...

To answer both you and Thurgreed, yes it was a generalization and a shorthand. The Beatles were the exception that proved the rule that most really popular music sucks ass. And I should have said "popular rap" instead of "rap" because there is good music in the genre. That said, "rap" is this generation's "rock" withall the commercial and pop crap that comes with it. It is not rebelious or an evolving artform anymore - it is mainstream, commercial, and 90% of it is crap. Having the top 10 positions on Billboard's chart is just public affirmation of that and whichever rappers hold those spots (I have no idea and don't care) are likely making music no more challenging or worthwhile than "Brandy, You're a Fine Girl."

Don't change the subject. You brought the heat, so lets have it out. Just how accurate was my last post? I'll play Kreskin here a bit more... I see a not-ugly, but not attractive, somewhat social, but not the-life-of-the-party type of chick who's not really happy with herself, but not entirely unhappy with herself. My picture of you is a person who thinks herself smarter than most, and is frustrated by the fact that she has some insecurities which hold her back. Your snipes at Sunny about physical appearance make it clear that you aren't terribly comfortable with your appearance right off the gun. Am I warm?
S(Why must you insist on calling me out? Its not working for you)D

It works fine for me. And I will worry about my psychological quirks. You worry about yours.
Edited to note that your description sounds like a horoscope -- it's pretty general. Not unhappy with self, not entirely happy . . . not ugly, but not attractive (assuming you mean gorgeous by attractive) . . . smart . . . has some insecurities that hold the person back. This describes at least 75% of the people around here.

Ah, yes, the old let's imitate Paigow's "butral honesty post" (am I using the right name for the marginal commentary, Ms. Princess?).
Well, the amusing thing about it when Her Highness does it is how much of Her goes into it. If you're going to imitate Her, this post should be as much about you as about ...
Oh, wait a minute. Never mind.

I figure from your last post that you must know what you're talking about. When you get all uptight and bitchy, do you chill out by taking it in the pooper (as ThrashersFan would say)?
