I know some people who named their daughter Gabrielle and they call her Brielle or Brie for short (although I don't know how they actually spell the shorter nickname). Maybe your Facebook friend did the same or something similar?

Does Brie have a brother named Clive?

Tell her you think that name is just delicious and let her figure it out.

Ty's too refined for that. He knows Brie is to Camembert as cantaloupe is to honeydew.

They are horrible this year. But better than Indiana, so there's that. I may actually do well in the brackets this tournament, since I won't be swayed by any emotional attachments.

People need to rule out stripper-names when naming their children.
And no, you shouldn't.

Yes.
Our commissioner is setting up a bracket where you get to pick sixteen teams (one for each seed, 1-16) and two wildcards. For each win, you get the number of points for your pick's ranking. I've never done one like this and it seems like there would be a lot of strategy involved. You really have to study who's in what bracket and upsets are (obviously) rewarded.
Not saying we should do this (especially since scoring would be a bitch), but I thought it was cool enough to share. Anyone else participate in a non-traditional bracket system?
