I am having leftover homemade chicken & dumplings today. The dumplings needed salt.

Is that book about salt any good? I think it may have been called Salt.

I'm heeding FBA's PSA of yesterday, so this morning I had eggs, sausage, home fries, and wheat toast with butter and strawberry jam for breakfast, and I will be having rigatoni with spicy sausage and tomato sauce for lunch.

(That's a spicy meatball!)

That map looks like an anatomy diagram.

A sad, constant bid for attention?

I'm only a little sorry I don't have him in my dead pool.

Dallas can't play him now, can they? They have to sit him down for a while, right?

At least until after October 8?

I had an Egg McMuffin (without bacon) for breakfast.

Lunch will probably be a taco salad. Although there's the chicken dish my mom's cook named after the Brazenette in the fridge too.

No food or drink will be consumed after midnight though, in preparation for the surgery tomorrow.

Much as I can't stand Owens, I find this incredibly sad.

2, except for the incredibly part. Now, if it were Barry Bonds, I'm not sure I'd even agree with the sad part.

Seriously, people. High end vacuum cleaners? I understand the longevity point, but I have a 25 year old Hoover upright (old school, with the bag that attaches with a spring to the arm)that I bought on a whim for $5 at a yard sale I passed while walking my dogs. That thing still works - although I never use it.

TM has hardwoods and carpeting that he hates. I also believe that he has neither pets nor excess body hair, and am fairly sure that he doesn't walk straight into his apartment from the beach. An expensive vacuum would be a waste of money.

Also, bagless vacuums are not better or easier to use. Emptying the dirt cup is messy and you have to do it often. To avoid getting a faceful of dust, you have to wrap a plastic trash bag tightly around the cup as you dump it out, and then slowly remove the cup from the loose bag of dust. Can any of you see TM doing this? And obviously this process cancels out any benefits that may come from the fact that the vacuum has a HEPA filter or whatever other bullshit feature. HEPA without a bag --that does not make sense.
25 years ago, Hoover made great vacuum cleaners. We went through three Hoovers in ten years and then a couple of other brands that lasted about two years each before the motor burned out, or some such other bullshit.

We bought our Miele for twice what we'd paid for our last vacuum and it's lasted 6 years now with not a single problem.

You either clean too much, or shed too much.

*When was the last time you heard "deprecating" used without the word "self?" It's a perfectly good word. It's not fair that it has zero independence.
That was a terribly deprecatory post, don't you think?
