Howard Stern has it right: His fragile ego is incompatible with the constant negative attention that comes with the Presidency, and we are watching a raving breakdown in real time.

The only scary thing with Trump is he does not internalize. His survival is proof of that. With his diet, stress, and sleep habits, and the expenditure of energy involved in constant lying, he’d have died long ago if he internalized. His release is to lash out, in increasingly extreme ways.
Look, if you constantly say stupid stuff you are dumb.

The man just said windmill noise causes cancer. He is a moron.

You really have to be an idiot yourself not to see that.

Re: Doesn’t Matter Who Wins the K Race; We’re All the Same

I find it very aggravating to go to a session where a firm gets updated on employment law and hear people wax nostalgically about the good old days when they didn't need to worry as much about harassment and discrimination.

Fuck you, assholes. If you're nostalgic for that shit, you're part of the problem.

That's a ridiculous argument. Besieging and sacking cities is impressive in that it takes strategic thought and bravery. Calling someone, "ugly," and being rewarded by 40% of the country for displaying your racism is not a fucking skill and not the least bit impressive.

This is not true. He is a moron. And he's the most dangerous kind of moron there is--one who is uninterested in learning anything.

Yeah. That qualifier swallows your whole statement.

This might be true. But his insecurity springs from his stupidity, ignorance, and knowledge that he is not attractive. He has absolutely zero friends--only employees and club members. There is nothing that brings him actual joy.

He knows he's a joke and he can't stand it. He has no clue what he's doing no matter what room he's in. The worst thing to happen to this country in our lifetimes was Obama roasting him at the correspondents' dinner. Trump was completely humiliated in front of a room of people that Trump needs to think respect him.

Nobody recalls, you can’t always get what you want. And sometimes, you don’t even get what you think you need.

For 8 years, we heard rabid Bush hatred. For 8 more, we heard rabid Obama hatred. Trump is a ratcheting up of the process. Whatever follows him will be an extreme reaction to him. It appears likely to go one of two ways. Either a moderate is elected as a reaction to and rejection of the craziness that was Trump, or an extreme progressive will be elected as a fight-fire-with-Fire response to Trump.
Fighting fire with health care, wages and jobs would certainly be "extreme."

Yeah

I think this photo explains Trump's hair issues better than anything I've ever seen.

I don't think they're saying they miss the days when they could discriminate and sexually harass people. I think they're saying they miss not having to worry about navigating all the rules and rapidly changing and confusing social mores.

They're like Uncle Joe. Clearly, this man is not a pervert or a predator. I know a ton of people who know the guy and haven't heard a single bad thing about the man. Is he touchy-feely? Yes. (FWIW, in DC, John Kerry has the same reputation.) But Biden is a warm guy who doesn't grasp that some people don't care much for his flavor of warmth. He wasn't paying attention when the rules changed.

So I kind of understand a nostalgia for a time when things weren't so confusing that a guy like Biden, who is harmless, finds himself in getting #metooed.

I'd also be remiss not to note that there's a "normal person pass" for some of this stuff. We all recall the days of yore when mixed sex groups of people would talk about quite naughty things in the office, in small groups, behind closed doors. (People still do it.) If you were normal and not creepy, everybody was cool with all sorts of sexual discussion, crude jokes, etc. There was a bonding element to it. But there were two groups never invited into that "trust tree":

1. Creepy dudes who were not normal and discussed sexual matters in a weird or unfunny way; and,
2. Weird females who were not normal and discussed sexual matters in a strange or unfunny way.

What the women who are coming forward are saying is that he wasn't harmless. Not grievous harm, but harm nonetheless.

Kinda weird how he's demonstrating exactly why he isn't the political savior some strangely think he is by not being able to just say, "I'm sorry and I'll do better."

He has a strange combination of his father's obvious lack of hair and his mom's weird ass bouffant.

I think he has come to an understanding and has handled it quite well. I don't think anyone thinks his physical contact was sexual in nature. And he isn't exactly getting #metoo'd. It's fine for women to say that they didn't welcome the physical contact. What's not fine is to act like this disqualifies him for office or puts him anywhere near Trump's category.

I have some affection for Biden, and I wish that he wouldn't run for President, because it's not going to go well for him.
