about 15% have reported, here is the breakdown
http://election.sos.state.oh.us/resu...l.aspx?race=PP
Cuyahoga is the most populace county, and they have only reported about 1.5% of their precincts.

How can anybody watch Fox?
Do they broadcast anything but commercials? I'd like the perspective, but their content to advertising ration must be 50:50.

But it wouldn't shock me for Cheney to say that. He's got more brain cells in his head than Hughes and Rove combined.
I actually respect Cheney a lot for being himself. He doesn't hide his agenda. He's evil and smarter than you, and he has no problem letting you know. That's kind of refreshing.

It was interesting as a measure of atmospheric conditions when I posted it, but its significance dims by the minute, except that the idea that Cheney and Rove/Hughes aren't so tight is not one I'd heard before.

I just like puns. I am opposed to vandalism in all forms. I also think that you need to lighten up a bit and remember that it's me you're talking to, that we're friends, and that by this time tomorrow, no matter who wins, very litttle will change in the grand scheme of things.

No, there is another option and it is called embryo adoption. Moreover, it is not just already existing embryos that can be used for research purposes. They can create the embryos specifically for research. This has been done in privately funded labs in the US.
|
No it hasn't; at least not in the last several years. Bioethicists and research physicians have universally agreed that it is not ethical to create embryos for the purpose of research. You're mistaken.

Colorado
Sorry if it's been posted, but the interesting nuance of Colorado's electoral votes apparently won't happen, as the referendum is projected to be defeated. At least we can fight about chads still.

I suppose this probably varies from place to place, but what happens if you are at the polling location at the time the polls close, but haven't yet voted?
|
If you're in line at closing time, you're entitled to vote.

I appreciate the impulse, but I don't understand what this means.

That I am retarded.
No - I'm just concentrating on Florida and what the vote is, and with what percentage of total precincts reporting, which is right now almost 80% of all in the state. I'm also, like others, watching the three particular counties I listed.

I find your interest in embryonic stem cell research both selfish and immoral.
Cite please. Show me these studies that show you can transplant these cells in alzheimers patients (or even a lab animal) and improve the symptoms.
Generating a cell in a culture is a long way from being able to do anything useful with it. You are ignorant of the facts.
Cite please. And clarify, adult stem cells or embryonic cells. Either show me the data or shut up.
|
1) I find your opposition to stem cell researc on misguided moral principles to be selfish, immoral, and stupid. So there.
2) As for my statements, I've been following the research in JAMA, through discussions with researchers and other physicians, the NYT and Tribune, and online for years.
3) They have had litttle or no success with using stem cells from adult bone marrow (the only source) for any purpose.
4) I've done my research and I'm comfortable with it. You've stated enough bull to convince me that you don't know shit. Find the data yourself and stop talking out your ass.

Wrong again. It is entirely dependent on what tissue you are talking about. Your statement is so wrong, I am no longer going to listen to your comments.
You are blinded by your own self interest and you care nothing of the life of an innocent.
Wrong again. You are a motherfucking ignorant jackass.
|
The only source of adult stem cells is from bone marrow and they are far less effective for research because they have less capacity for "reprogramming."

Oh yeah, and they voted for a dead guy.
