Salary Information

Legaleze obtained average salary information from a report done by the Affiliates. www.affiliates.com. If you want your own report please visit their site.

For Washington, D.C., the salary information for 2003 is reported as follows:

Senior Associates (4-9+ years)
Large Firms: $144k-210k
Mid-sized Firms: $99k-165k
Small Firms: $64k-136k

Mid-Level Associates (1-3 years)
Large Firms: $115k-150k
Mid-sized Firms: $76k-116k
Small Firms: $52k-92k

First Year Associates
Large Firms: $102k-135k
Mid-sized Firms: $70k-$102k
Small Firms: $49k-78k

Notes:

Salaries rounded to the nearest thousand
  • Large Firm: 75+ attorneys
  • Mid-sized Firm: 35-74 attorneys
  • Small Firm: 1-34 attorneys
Small firm range is a combination of two ranges, what the survey calls small firm and small/mid-sized firms
