I had a day glo Nevica ski jacket.

The most challenging thing about skiing today is trying to convince your kids not to bomb down the mountain (or hill here in the middle west).
I did an "agony of defeat" fall not too long ago. Went end over end, lost helmet, and one ski would not unlock. Did that for about 100 yards.

When I finally stopped, little kids were skiing all around my near corpse, leering at me to see if I was alive. Mine likes to ski trees. Went through the woods, popped out about 50 yards ahead of me, started yelling for me to get up, with no idea what had just happened to me.

Wiping out as a young kid is a good lesson with minimal pain, as you don't weigh much or have far to fall. Wiping out at 190 lbs and turning into a human snowball on a fairly extreme slope is another matter. I've a healthy respect for my age and limitations as a result.
