Re: Mother, mother, mother - there's too many of you crying.
I am working from home today, which means I get to watch the TV as I work, and Stripes is on. What a great movie!

Well, read this. One of the most unusual and remarkable appellate opinions I have ever read. Kudos to AIG's counsel (not me).

That is remarkable. Fun reading.
Why does an employee sign a RFA response? Briefs outline legal contentions, and they can be signed by outside counsel without an employee.

Because of the plain language of C.C.P. Section 2033, at least according to this case - https://law.justia.com/cases/califor...d/180/545.html

I don't think so, because a prosecutor who wanted to buck Trump to bring the case (hello, unitary executive) would have to prove a quid pro quo, and that seems pretty unlikely. But you will have continued stories like that ones this week that make Jared look corrupt, which will weaken the Trump administration in various ways. There are clearly people in the executive branch happy to leak to undermine Jared, so these stories will keep coming.

Question.
Who is stupid enough to say they're going to rip up a subpoena on live television?
These people are fucking crazy.

I just had a prominent lawyer from a major law firm complain about the deal he got on stock when he was counsel for the company.
This is why he's no longer counsel for the company.

I didn't really get the Susan McDougal vibe off of him. I can't see any of these idiots voluntarily spending 15 months in jail for this cause.

I forgot about her. She was awesome.
And her husband was the Roger Stone of that saga. Bad suits, couldn't-give-a-shit comments to the media...
And the obligatory comment that must be offered in any discussion of Whitewater: Fuck Ken Starr.
