What's the Senate Dems plan? Do they have one?

Mine was to at minimum take a firm stand for them. Even if it doesn't work, you're demonstrating your values, which helps electorally, which may help you get get enough seats to actually do something in 2019.

They half-assed that and now are signalling that the Dreamers are not a condition for a budget deal. What's the path for help for the Dreamers there? Hope the GOP majority is thankful we didn't press them too hard so they'll do us a favor?

I know, you think if we pretend we don't want it maybe the GOP will, but they aren't going to.

Yes, holding on for a longer shutdown and using that either to get to a vote or win more elections is exactly as little a plan as giving away the only leverage you had.
