Technically, he's right. One cannot be shrill and chill.

I don't think I veer into shrill, however. I bloviate. It's lamentable, but different.

That's just weird (and somewhat disturbing) to re-read.

i think you have stoner cred (being high is not required), and are not shrill- to me shrill requires spaced peak amplitudes, and you are more direct current.

Again, nasally. Grown up Urkel voice, without the Urkel charm.

You're learning. But you know that doesn't stick, Richard. It's too much.

Now get back to sweating with the oldies.

Re: We are all Slave now.

Did I ever tell anyone I auditioned (via tape) as a vocalist for this guy's band?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Pritzker

Made it past the 1st cut but dinged by Bob Ezrin for sounding "too boyish."

I never forget, he said, "I am giving this music thing one shot, then going to law school."

The song "Heroes never Cry" is actually decent.

Neither. The difference is one cares, one doesn't.

Though Hamm's character does own the coolest closing of any series. "I'd like to teach the world to sing..." Just when I'd thought Weiner was totally blowing the ending, he landed that Hail Mary.

And what's so great about not caring?

You don't recognize that this is how Sebby lives his life? He's a mix of an aging frat bro and a guy who just doesn't care and laughs at all the suckers who have chosen sides who do. This makes him better.

You're beginning to sound a little shrill. Settle down.

At some level we need to be able to attack each with some reference to pop culture images. Don Draper and the dweeb guy are fair reference points. That said, I'm not sure i wouldn't rather be seen as the dweeb guy instead of Don (when he had sex with Sally's kindergarten teacher I really had to distance myself), but we each might ask ourselves which we would rather be; and, not to tie back to the original point of this board, we must all remember there are GP/GA aspects to that question.
