Imagine if these people stopped arguing with each other and hating each other and decided to form a voting bloc that demanded actual economic justice?

The funny thing is that the way the numbers work out, it's really a minority rearguard action against a pretty clear supermajority that's winning. For all the dude's marching with tiki torches, there's way more people who think that stuff is backwards.

Of course, the question is the relative levels of investment people have in their beliefs. Lot's a of the supermajority are as much apathetic to the grievances of the rearguard as much as actively opposed (thus last November).

Oddly, I think "if the poor whites only knew" doesn't give them enough credit. They know. It's just that they what they really care about is relative status. They can't band together with groups that they view as below them.

Rubbish. We have been engaged in a civil/culture war since the 90s. There have been tons of books published on this for the last 30 years. Russia just moved the logs around and turned up the gas for a minute.
