Here's the fun thing: centrist senators are going to use their clout to axe a person who is generally on the centrist side of the Democratic party.

This is the problem with centrists, they're a very mixed crowd who actually agree on little other than liking centrism. There are really a half dozen varieties of centrist, each with their own perspective on things. It's way more fragmented than the left. So they kill each other. Centrist cancel culture is the most senseless form of cancel culture.

But of course, maybe if the mean tweets were all directed at Hillary they would have been ok. Because a jab at Vampire Cruz or a "moscow mitch" tweet is unacceptable, but "lock her up", well, that's just a good time party slogan.

My sister in El Paso lost a pipe that was outside. She got it fixed pretty well, but her overall attitude was that she'd just irrigated for the season.

They act like light brown Idahos are the only color of potato. What about people that want a redskin, or purple or light tan Mr. Potato Head?

Excellent point. I'm sure that in the near future, 3D printing will save us from the tyranny of not having those choices.

My best work

Could be my last work.

Plaintiff will neither admit or deny the improper request to admit and instead, refers [Defendant] to the lyrics of the Rage Against the Machine classic 'Killing in the Name of.'"

How's em not gonna smile at that? Does anyone even write requests to admit for any reason other than pad the bill? Hell, at worst you give em a reason to file a dumb motion; em cannot be mad.

I never respond to the same post twice, but I just remembered something. When I worked at the Patent Office my supervisor had to sign off on my actions. He would always give me comments. Once this attorney had pissed me off with his arguments, so I did a vent action where I accused him of making useless and unfocused arguments that only served to increase his billings to his client, that I could see no other reason for the arguments. I assumed my supervisor would read it and walk it back in my office, telling me "Nope, redo it." But that was the day he decided he could finally trust me, and just signed it. I survived. Wonder if that attorney sent my action onto his client?

Oh, LPT -- to keep pipes from freezing run the water a bare trickle in anticipation. Not sure what would happen when the water stops but at an old apartment I had to do that any time it was below freezing. Wish I would have mentioned that sooner but I think by the time anyone realized it could be an issue it was too late.

We had it dripping, but it stopped on Tuesday. Thanks!
