Not a single white player in the NBA All Star Game

This is an outrage. I am boycotting this event that I never watch.

We should seriously rethink basketball infrastructure from the pee wee leagues on up so that white players get the same opportunities as black players to succeed.

If we do that then we will never have a "White Man Can't Jump Part II: Electric Boogaloo". Do you think Rosie Perez enjoys voicing Click the Camera on Dora the Explorer? She wants back in the game, man.

Australia/New Zealand in winter

I've had a change of vacation plans and I'm now booked for flights to Brisbane, Sydney and Auckland in mid-to-late June. I'll have a few days in each of Brisbane and Auckland and only two days in Sydney. Tips? Must-sees?

Any thoughts on what the fact it will be winter means to my travel plans? Sounds like Brisbane will be like LA (temperate year-round), but I'm less confident about Sydney and Auckland...

I've been to most other cities in Australia, but not those. I would suggest getting to some bush. Also it is a long assed flight. Why stay for such a short time?

(my daughter lived in Au for a year and went to AFS in NZ. I'll ask her but she was back packer level traveling. Still stuff to do is stuff to do)

I'm tagging along w my sister to a conference she's speaking at in Brisbane. She can only be gone for about 10 days, so this itinerary is what I we figured out would work for us traveling together. AU/NZ has never been top of my travel list, but I couldn't pass up a partially subsidized trip there...

Ps. Direct from LA it's not that long of a trip. I think 13 hours is the longest travel day.

And the solid advice: idk I didn't spend much time in any of those places, in Brisbane there are lots of rainforests that are pretty cool to walk through
