Fair enough. I actually have a bottle of Laphroaig that is waiting patiently for cooler temps to arrive.
But what about the love-yoga-pants/won't-attend-group-fitness-classes incongruity?

Interesting. Full disclosure: I do crossfit (and try my best not to ever talk about it*). I find that the workouts are very difficult. I do more in the hour I go than I used to in the two hours a day I used to spend at the gym. And my body has changed significantly.
That said, sometimes I drop in to other gyms and the ones that are completely bro'd out are fucking awful. I just want to be fit. I'm not trying to win working out.

I can't take the music. And I'm in close proximity to the yoga pants. Classes end, classes start, and the pants pass to and fro. The gazes meet now and again, and we fess up when busted. You know the shared eyebrow raise...
"How you doin'?"
"No... How YOU doin'?"
I love the hot soccer moms with that "God, I'm bored with my husband" gaze. So many chicks look so restless.

As I've never seen you mention it before, I think you might be doing it wrong.

Me, I'd rather have a single glass of a great bordeaux than a bottle of such stuff, and if you simply drink less better stuff, the buzz isn't a problem.

Beaujolais is tasty cold. Also works in many mixed drinks.

White port, Barsac or Sauternes.

Big fan, and this one hits pretty hard. For various reasons, I never got to see Husker Du. Did get to see Grant play a solo acoustic show once, and he was great. Super friendly. FWIW, he blamed Norton for the lack of any Huskers reunion. On the bright side, I've got a Mould show coming up next month.

Stop being a dick. I mention it no more than the gym I went to before. If I talked about it half as much as you talk about biking, there'd be a problem.

Not sure why you took that as criticism of you, but okay.

I will never understand American tastes. We quaff down horrible tasting soda drinks all day, drink sugared lemonade in the summer sun, but complain a little barsac or takaji on the piazza is too sweet.
They're grapes. It's fruit. Enjoy the natural sweetness.

I think his point was that you weren't talking about it, which is doing it wrong in the sense that you aren't talking about it all the time.

Who is "we," compadre? Those things are way too sweet.

They have their place, but it's not "enjoying a cold beverage in the summer sun."
