No, once you've touched ink, you shy away from all that stink!

Was it the "Sweet Jane" reference? I don't believe the cover by the Cowboy Junkies was of the version of that song by the Velvet Underground that has Jack in his corset ("and me, I'm in a rock and roll band"), but who knows?

Anyway, I think cross-dressing is a Winter Olympic event, not a Summer one. One certainly sees more sequined cocktail dresses than Lily Pulitzer shifts being worn by the competitors.

Speaking of summer, I am apparently becoming a character in a Cheever story, spending my evenings drinking gin and tonics and seething with bitterness* about property values. If I'm not caref, I may end up joining the chamber of commerce.

*Mild, but still.

Apropos of nothing, "the Smug Divorcees" would be great name for a band.

There's a midnight showing at the old Palace on Route 64 this weekend - you in? I'll bring the toast if you bring the rice.

sometimes you get an extra http set in. delete the extra and voila!

edit- beyond being so gosh darn helpful, I've really become lovable, you know? for someone who started as a simple nuisance sock I certainly have grown.

Now you're just trying to woo Fringie. But she knows better! (I, however, could be easily swayed by bacon of the month.)
