But I still get annoyed whenever someone in DC thinks they should direct what happens in local elections, rather than just support what the locals want. Back in my youth when I helped run the state party, we mostly were able to keep them out, but that was in part because we had our own people down there like Ted Kennedy and Paul Kirk keeping them from doing stupid shit up here.

Apropos of Kushner's security clearance, has he actually accomplished anything in the last year+?

Well, he's not in jail yet, so there's that.

If I could figure out how to embed a tweet here, I would do that instead.

Hope Hicks is resigning. I've got to say, I did not see that one coming.

Right the heels of her testimony. Gotta wonder if that's related.

I've sort of gotten the impression that she is the most stabilizing force in the White House. It'll be, er, interesting to see what it's like without her there. Presumably, she has counsel.
One of my favorite columnists at Buzzfeed did a piece a few weeks ago on Hope Hicks that sort of predicted this, though less about Russia and more about becoming the story rather than creating/crafting/guiding the story in the background. Few, if any, tweets.

And 30 aides lost their "top secret" clearance. I expect really angry tweets tomorrow morning. Shit is unraveling.

As Dante said: "Abandon, Hope, all ye who enter here."

Her taste in men disqualifies her from any security clearance.

Re: Mother, mother, mother - there's too many of you crying.
Some of you may recall a $55 million bad faith verdict (including punitives) against AIG in a products case three years ago.
Well, read this. One of the most unusual and remarkable appellate opinions I have ever read. Kudos to AIG's counsel (not me).
