Michael Avenatti

I have a lawyer crush on this guy. He waited until Trump filed his ethics (referencing the $130,000 hush money paid through his cut out Cohen) disclosure "in the interest of transparency" before revealing he likely has two other clients to whom Trump paid hush money, which was not disclosed. http://www.newsweek.com/michael-aven...n-trump-931194

Plus, he's a stud. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Avenatti

Making GW law proud! (Let's not mention the other lawyer in today's and yesterday's news, who was in my class but I do not know).

What ever happened to Tucker Max?

Where Are They Now? Dept.

“I could’ve so easily wrapped myself in literary pretensions and had those literary douchebags slobbing my knob for decades,” he said.

Re: We are all Slave now.

Anyone a member of the NY bar and want to give a little advice? Have been contacted by someone who says he is a NY attorney, and it's a little sketchy. DM/email and I will explain.

eta: Never mind, less sketchy upon further investigation.

As of now, he has 1 porn star client, and he likes to talk about himself. I exposed my dick on film once and I like to talk about myself. Let's see what else the paisan can do before we line to suck his dick.

Either you didn’t look at the link that Less provided, or multi-million dollar verdicts (non-PI) don’t give you an idea what the paisan can do.

Avenatti has also served as lead counsel on a number of historically large cases, including an April 2017 $454 million verdict after a jury trial in Federal Court in Los Angeles in a fraud case against Kimberly-Clark and Halyard Health,[30] later reduced to a $21.7 million dollar verdict upon appeal,[31] an $80.5 million class-action settlement against Service Corporation International,[32] a $41 million jury verdict against KPMG,[33] and a $39 million malicious prosecution settlement.[34]

Doesn’t mean he’ll recover for Stormy (Popehat thinks his defamation claims are weak), but it seems to me that he’s more than just a guy who likes to see himself on the teeveee

He's a Gloria Allred with actual chops. Those two skill sets don't overlap much, but in this case, they've congealed into a formidable advocate/technician.

Ehh, people aren't propping him up because of that, they just like he talks big about Trump. Big verdicts sometimes just mean very guilty D's. We will see if/when he does something.

I like that, and like the author, I'll refrain from checking the veracity of it. Believing the next great American book could just be a pair of jeans away gives me hope.

(I met Wolfe once. After thanking him for providing me with considerable entertainment over the years, he started in on a conversation about cars, a subject on which I'm weak. He then pivoted to my wife, who's much easier on the eyes. I went back to the bar and wound up talking to Geraldo Rivera.

That was a strange room.)

You only acquire cases with very guilty Ds by demonstrating ability to "ring the bell" to referral sources. It's true some big PI guys are middling lawyers who got lucky. But this guy is enjoying a pretty solid snowball effect, and keeping it going. That usually indicates exceptional skills.

Disagree. Seen too many hacks who are the "crowd's choice."
