Nope. None of you kids could do what Angus does without knocking yourself unconscious. Moreover, no one perfected the bare chested rock star strut like Bonn Scott.

The guitar on this tune always amazed me, and Scott's voice is blazing here:

People always ignore me when I say it, but I think "Powerage" is the hidden gem in that band's collection. It was just before they got really heavy on Highway to Hell - almost had a Stonesy feel in parts.

In typical Globe fashion, that article is not on the editorial page.

Eddie Izzard

How come no one told me he was on tour? If I had known, I wouldn't have had to pay the extra $$ per ticket to see him Friday night. Thanks a lot, FB.

Underboob is the only thing that makes me look as if I have big boobs. I like what you have to say on the underboob issue and fully support your campaign to make underboob more acceptable. Carry the flag high.

I just found out a couple of weeks ago too. I've had Ricky Gervaise tickets forever (I think that they went on sale in February or March for a July show) but I randomly heard people in Dallas talking about an Eddie Izzard show and ran home to find out when/where he would be in LA. Luckily he has enough shows that they weren't all sold out... Was he as wonderful as always??

"Listen to what’s on my car radio right now [turns up “Dance of the Seven Veils”]. I need to relearn all this stuff. I don't know that it's ever going to come out of me the same way, but when I listen to the record, I can feel that vibe coming over me — I can feel where I was at. Back then my life was so simple. I just lived in this state … it wasn't a particularly happy state, it was a kind of pissed-off, fuck-the-world, separate-from-the-world state. I didn't engage in the world. I could barely make it to the grocery store. So that's a challenge for me — getting back into that singular point of view."
Gee. I sure hope she can reach that non-grocery store shopping state again. Otherwise, her new album won't have the right vibe and we'll all be completely fucked.

"In the documentary, John Cusack says he saw you as “the wrath of the repressed.” Did you feel like that when you were making the record, and do you still?

I did, and I still do occasionally, though it’s much different now. At the time, I was seething at the surface. I was a boiling hot tub of oil ready to scald if I could, ’cause I pretty much spent my youth trying to be perfect for everyone in a very preppy sense, and then abandoned that and went all the way to the dark side. "
Dark side. LOL. These annoying ex-preppy, privileged white indie chicks are so fucking annoying -- all of them, including Tori Amos, Lisa Loeb and this Phair chick. More than 1/4 of the world lives in misery and poverty and these bitches are droning on about being "repressed" and on the "dark side?" I once dated a guy who would put on this bubble gum faux angst "music" and I couldn't stand it after 2 dates.

He came through here two weeks ago. Reports from the front were ridiculously positive.

2. He can totally pull off that big hair. and I don't normally like that clean cut look but he's got major sex appeal.
