That isn't a guy thing, it is a people thing. Heterosexual women can't help but looking at another women's breasts when they have erect nipples protruding from their shirts. That is why you wear thicker bras at work. Then if it gets chilly, no one knows you are cold.

You should see a doctor. At your age, that can't be normal.

Because we are paying more attention to the subject matter we are talking about and on the fact that we are cold.

That might help to cut it down a bit, but, trust me, it won't eliminate it.

Like I said, I was speaking for myself, and for the women of my acquaintance. I have never met such a woman personally (and I wouldn't count reading about someone as "meeting" her.)

No doubt such women exist, I just don't know any.

A few years ago, my sister was sent to an event to raise funds for her organization. Each of the not-for-profits that were in attendance were supposed to walk around the party and ask for money for their particular causes. A good 95 percent of the attendees were gay men.

She made more money than any other single fundraiser there. Her organization came in second, behind an organization that had 11 people out there hustling for money.

As she was picking out her clothes, she commented that men in general are fascinated by breasts, and it didn't matter if they're gay or straight. She wore a low cut dress and a push up bra. Granted, the girl can charm pretty much anyone, but she attibutes a lot of her success on that particular occassion to her rack.

OK, that is a histrionic response if I ever saw one. I never said that it had to be YOUR secretary or that only at YOUR firm are there secretaries like that as you imply. There are secretaries like that at EVERY firm. They might not be YOUR secretary, but they are SOMEBODY'S secretary. Jesus, talk about self-focused. I find it very amusing that before the ignore feature, you could tell when someone had lost an argument because they resorted to name calling. Now when people lose an argument, they tell you they are going to ignore you. Heh, heh. :D

No I didn't say that. I said there ARE secretaries at your firm. That doesn't mean that it is HER secretary or that ONLY at her firm are there secretaries that act like that. Good reading comprehension seems to be a rare skill on this board.

In my experience, they stop arguing and just start insisting that they've won the argument and that my posts are embarassing/stupid/Thottamesque. Or you did, anyway, as I recall.

I didn't realize that you were saying that they had some nefarious motivation behind their dress. I agree if they are doing it because they think you will be attracted to them and give them a better grade for it, that is different. And it is gross and inappropriate. I would be offended, too.

As I have posted here before, I keep my body to myself and my b/f. I don't dress provocatively in public. My point to everyone here is that there are women who do and they do it because they want male attention. Apparently, some of them do it to get female attention when they think it will get them better grades. Yuck!

I am sure that there are. That goes back to my point on there being different fashion mores. I don't think those students of yours who don't have the nefarious motivation even realize that they are making anyone uncomfortable. They have been fed a diet of MTV from the day they were born. I think they have been de-sensitized by seeing breasts and sexuality displayed overtly everywhere they look. It seems normal to them, not sexual.

I wasn't kidding when I said I have seen nice girls wearing sexy shirts at funerals. It was the daughter of the dead guy. She was 22 and a very sweet kid, and I bet she didn't realize that wearing that shirt would have been considered inappropriate by anyone there. It was a black low-cut shirt, and I am sure she picked it because she thought you are supposed to wear black to a funeral, and that was a black shirt she had in her closet. Perhaps if her mother had not been grieving the sudden loss of her spouse, her mother would have said something.

Since the ignore feature does not notify the ignoree of the ignoring by the ignorer, we need an "I am ignoring you" emoticon. It should look like a younger sibling with her hands on her ears shouting "I am ignoring you I am ignoring you nananananana!"

It seems that the discussions here on the topic of ogling/leering/watching women center on four different individuals: the Gentleman, the Lady, the Cad, and the Floozy. Those who don't leer and don't seek to be the object of leering comprise the first category. Those who leer and catcall and those who hope to be the object of leering and catcalling fall into the later category.

Of course, there might be a fifth category- composed of women who cringe at the thought of the schlubby looking upon their precious form, but who hope/expect/demand that hot firefighters/businessmen/rockstars notice and approach them. They are, of course, the Dreamers.

Carmen: Her song didn't exploit her vocal weaknesses. She's very marketable. But that doesn't mean I have to like her.

I got that feeling once. When I was a freshman in college doing an all night cram the week before finals in a building that was open 24/7 and sometimes gets homeless people, teenagers, and random whoevers, this skinny black homo walked up to me and started telling me that this orgy in a few weeks and that I should go. I had a deer in the headlights look for a few seconds and just told him maybe somebody else would be interested but I needed to cram for finals. If he was telling it straight, ain't no way no how I was going to some homosexual orgy. Not then, not never.

For the love of all that's good and holy, can we please cut to where there is just Trenyce, Clay and Ruben? I cannot stand Rickey, and he sounded horrible, IMHO. Carmen needs to just go back home and win her high school talent contests - she has done NOTHING to impress me either vocally or personality-wise. It would be doing Kimberley C. and the world a big favor if some producer from Branson would call her to ask her to return to her own show there. Kimberly L. was meh, and seems to be faltering in confidence. Josh... I don't think I even need to say anything. At the end when they were showing them in the red room, Josh seemed to be mentally packing his bags.

Ryan's writers and stylist ought to be fired.

Trenyce and Ruben definitely have staying power. Clay might have a couple minor hits, but I think he's more likely to go back to his normal life and just be a nice guy.
