Yes - outdoors. Still deciding between two places (just outdoor scenic locales). Party at our crib afterwards.

No, no, no. There has been real movement here. The fact that dtb has fully embraced the White Trash lifestyle is emblematic of the changes that have been occuring as we age and leave behind the glitz and glammor of our younger days, and instead embrace rustic simplicity and the honesty of rural life. These aren't the go-go Bush years when we were all making a mint in derivatives trading and hedge funds, but rather the Obama years when we're lying low, stashing our gold where the government can't get it, and advocating universal healthcare for proles everywhere (let them eat Coke!).

Darlings, there is no reason to ever age out of glamour.

You can still be glamourous, even in rural life. Isn't that what Eva Gabor showed us?

Despite being in the country, Eva always longed for urban glamour, did she not? (e.g., "Darling I love you, but give me Park Avenooooo.")

There's plenty I miss about urban life, but on balance (and given the kid situation), chic rural is my way to go!

(It should probably be "chic" rural...)

Any hints on chic rural?

Nope. Apparently bus-side ads. I suspect mostly on the northside routes, if they were intended to be effective advertising for the movie, rather than just a ploy to get the free media attention.

Seems to me that the blogs (and newspapers, etc) that decried the ads gave Tucker exactly what he wanted. None of their authors or regular readers of those blogs are in the Tucker demo, but it gives the fanboys (a) another reason to talk about and defend Tucker and (b) Tucker another "reason" to "complain" about all the people who complain about him.

I don't have anything against you personally -- I don't even know you. But let's not pretend as to why snarky comments have been made. (Beyond the fact that we're bored and it's what we do. :))

Speaking of Lebowski, what effect, if any did the Dude's line have on the popularity of the Eagles? Not that I hear Eagles songs very often, but when I do, someone is always screaming this line. Do you think that subliminally people dislike the Eagles more than they use to because of it? I think I dislike them more consciously.

When evaluating music, do you defer to the bearded guy in pyjama pants with a coffee cup shaped dent in his forehead, or the black cab driver with the black leather kofia? 'Cause I tend to go with the guy in the kofia, and I've never been disappointed. Except with the whole Melt Banana debacle, which I am sure was anomalous.
