I was instantly transported to 6th grade and reminded of a certain boy who was the first to kiss me with tongue and touch my fledgling boobies.

The moment smelled like Bubble Yum, Pop Rocks and school gym.

I am nostalgic beyond belief now.
Are we having hormone issues, bnb? First the blues last week, then the sex talk yesterday, now nostalgic for 6th grade. Has your husband been really, really nice to you lately and given you lots of extra space? Do you catch him looking sort of warily at you, as though he has no idea what mood is coming next?

A concerned observer

As Bilmore pointed out, he knows two Minnesotan Hindus who say it.

and given that the whole crux of the arguemnt is that americans saying the hinde word namaste is worse than americans saying the English word cheers, you might think he would have pointed out that a HINDU MINNESOTAN was syaing it rather than let the implication that many a white person in Minnesota was using it so it must be a commmon greeting.
Actually, the implication that I got was that he knew some Hindu people who used the expression. Which turns out to be not only obvious, but also correct. Weird, that. The other implication that I got was that Bimore was not trying to make any statement about how frequently the word is used in Minnesota, or by whom it is used. Rather, he was pointing out to you that, based on his experience, the word meant something different than you knew it to be from floating through your endless sea of head-up-their ass poseurs.

I heard "Babe" by Styx the other day on the radio. I thought about spin the bottle. Made me feel a little sick.

Yeah, she didnt say "weird that" and "Indeed". The irony here, if you will, is that you sound more like a penske sock than she did.

Hey! Let's not get nasty here -- my wife congratulates me when I finish a meal in a restaurant without spilling anything on my shirt.

We just call it "vacation time". Every year, I feel guilty for taking all of this time off when I do not acknowledge the deity for which it was designed. But then, I have a scotch and say "screw it". This makes me happy.

I thought (from yoga class) it technically meant "the divine in me bows to the divine in you", but I suppose that also means "peace out". I'm not sure if she is being pretentious or if it is a common sign off in India.

The term has been translated to me as meaning "all that is good and beautiful in me greets all that is good and beautiful in you."

Which might explain why Paigow doesn't like it. "My inner coke-whore says hi to your inner coke-whore" doesn't have the same ring.

Did you just call me Coltrane? 12-16-2003 12:31 PM

It's not a good meal unless you spill a little on your shirt. At least that's what I always claim when I do it, which is (honestly) about half the time.

This is funny. Really, paigs, all I did was try to keep you from embarrassing yourself by saying hello to people as you left. You strongly dislike being wrong, don't you?
